Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

This is getting pocket time. Stuck in the office today - no cool outside knife pics.

This was waiting for me when I got home last night! Had it at work with me today, so far I'm REALLY diggin' it!

Very interesting knife. What are your early impressions as far as size/weight/steel? Is the handle grooved/ridges or is it optical illusion because of the pattern? If its cool could we get a pic next to a popular model for size comparison?

Interesting knife indeed! So far I'm really liking it. As far as the size and weight, my scales are telling me 4.1 ounces, which is cool with me. It does take up a bit of room in the pocket, but nothing else rides in that pocket so no problems there either. The LC200N seems pretty adequate too, much better than the PE H1 for sure. Mind you, I've only had it at work with me for two days, but it's been through a lot of cardboard, rubber hoses, plastic containers, garden hose, all sorts of straps and it's still got a good working edge on it. The handle does indeed have some nice grippy ridges on it, plenty of traction. The closest knife I have in size is the Pacific Salt (Endura). The blade on the Pacific is about 1/16" longer, and it's about 3/16" longer overall. However, the Carribean has a longer cutting edge. I really like how the cutting edge comes so close to the handle too. You can choke up on the knife against the guard quite safely, which is nice for harder cuts. It doesn't twist your wrist as much. Anywho, that's just my two cents, I look forward to much more happy cutting in the days to come. Hope this answers your questions! Here's a few pics for comparison...
