great member and better person.
very positive and enjoyable interaction where he went well above and beyond.
I was sniffing around for a milli backspacer after i stripped mine.
He sent me one free of charge TO CANADA. unbelievable.
just a a gesture of gratitude i sent him a small box of local condiments/sweets.
I guess i triggered a pleasant walk down memory lane for his wife who used to visit canada as a kid.
so i found this package in my mail box.
Thanks again.
this was the only present i got this christmas and it came at a perfect time.
so my wife and my sisters decide that it'd be a great idea if we went to see them for christmas.
flying international with a not quite 2 year old at christmas time. what could possibly go wrong?
everything. everything could possibly go wrong lol.
he got super sick night 1. the wife and i followed suite.
By the time we boarded our flight to come home 6 days later we were all disasters.
you could see people recoiling away from us as we walked by. If me from 5 years ago saw the sight of us, id curse me to hell for flying so sick.
we arrived home finally at 230am. 3 of us were all a mess. it was around -20c. i broke the key off in the door knob and had to break into the house.
i was near redline. the boy crashed. the wife minutes later.
i sat there sipping a beer to decompress before bed. i grabbed the mail since we had a 6 day build up.
Toxo's package was in there.
saved my christmas man.
true story
That is an awesome story.
I mean the first half.Second half except for the happy ending? Not so much.
Lot of great people here (yourself included BTW.. I am still loving the ESEE4 I bought off you) and I am amazed at some of the cool stuff that happens. Cool stuff in my case like trying to find where to buy screws or a clip for a knife and other BFers just just ship them to me from the US to Canada. No charge, no shipping, don’t want anything in return... just crazy.
I did a GAW for a knife recently and I couldn’t be happier giving it away based on how much I have learned here and how helpful most folks are.
Let’s all have a great 2019.![]()
This little guy was a big hit at the hockey rink this morning. I can't think of a better blade shape for cutting tape off of sticks. It's my first spyderco but it wont be my last.![]()
I find myself picking this one out every morning for work because it carries great. Now i'd like to pick up a smoother action model with a compression lock so I can perfect the spydie flick, would you have any suggestions?Such a good choice for your first. Great working knife.
I'd you do that to the blade?GB2+Native5...

That is one knife I have always thought as hard to beat, but never pulled the trigger on.Loving my first ever Military.
Damn, this is a BIG knife! Just a beast. I would say it is as overbuilt in Titanium as any other knife I own except for the tip.Am I nuts or does the Military have the pointiest blade ever? Is it as fragile as it looks?
In any case, I am carrying it exclusively for all of Jan for fun.
