Chose to carry the Chokwe today. Really like the lightweight and extremely pointy 3 7/8" blade. The Ti backing contributes to the lower weight but there is a "problem" w/lock stick.
I have found that the best way to avoid lock stick on all of my Ti locking knives is simply to hold and pull the blade back firmly while releasing the lockbar to minimize friction between the end of the Ti lockbar and the corresponding part of the blade that it abuts. However, even doing this, there still was/is some stiction. I also tried the "sharpie" technique on the end of the lockbar which helped some BUT the end of the lockbar abuts the blade end so tightly that sometimes there's just no way to avoid stiction between the 2 parts.
I don't necessarily think this is a "bad" thing because, with such a tight fit, I really have no concerns about the lock bar ever failing on the Chokwe (not that I'd ever use it hard enough to test its strength).
