Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

Good choice!

I was using my yellow SE PacSalt for laying sod over the weekend. As I was cleaning it up, my son said, referring to the color, “Hey, when did you get the banana knife?”

“Oh, about a year ago. It’s awesome and completely rust-proof.”

“Maybe so,” he replied, “But it’s not monkey-proof!”

It took me a minute to process, then :D:p:D LMAO!

I've been going back and forth with this Endura. I like the blade and the price but am just not sure about the scales. How do they look in person?
I'm very pleased with it! But that's pretty subjective. The only other orange handled knife I can compare to is a Byrd Rescue 2. The Byrd seems a bit more pale in comparison, but I find it difficult to consistently capture the true color of them both. The lighting makes a huge difference.

Pocketed an original vintage Gen1 Endura Clipit (w/the molded plastic clip) today. It is one of 4 that I own.

The one I'm carrying is probably an early production model made around 1990, when they 1st started making them, because the steel used is not stamped on the blade; Spyderco only started to do that later. This knife is still in VG condition but it's a "user" for me because I sent it to Spyderco to fix the tip and resharpen it, which resulted it the blade being shortened by 1/16 inch.

So, it's no longer in original condition, unlike like the 3 others, which include the 3 blade variations (plain, combo and serrated) which are all stamped AUS-8 and were probably made around 1996 when I originally bought the combo and serrated versions and when production of the Gen1 Enduras ceased. I only recently purchased the plain edged AUS-8 to complete the set.
