Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

Staying w/the vintage Spyderco theme, today I'm carrying a recent EB find -- a Gen 1 Native -- that I got pretty cheap. No box but it's a great knife just the same.

Just took a little clean up and lube to make it look/feel like new. :)

I bought it as a companion to the much more contemporary Sprint fluted CF Native 5 S90V that I also own. It's amazing how similar they are (in terms of construction) when compared side-by-side.

Love the look of the complex swedged & hollow ground spear point shaped GIN-1 blade, the linerless FRN scales, full stainless steel locking backstrap and aggressively jimped spine (a pocket shredder) and the polished clip (which is a big PLUS in my book).

I normally I'm lazy and just post stock photos of the knives that I am carrying but these are actual photos of the knife. I wanted to try out the new Canon G9X that I just bought. ;)

It's simply amazing that the knife is around 20 years old and is as good (or better) IMO as any Native 5 that Spyderco still makes.

From one big knife to another. Swapped out my ZT0920 for standard Military Model G10 Black w/a PE stain blade (C36GP) that I just received from Spyderco today.

Already had an earlier version G10 Black w/a PE DLC blade (C36GPBK) but I don't like to carry it because it uses a black clip which shows wear too easily. The standard G10 uses a chrome clip which alleviates that problem for me. The only other difference between the 2 is that the lanyard hole in the G10 on the DLC version is much smaller than the one of the standard version. This change in lanyard hole sizes apparently occurred around 2 years ago in 2017. I don't use lanyards, so it doesn't matter to me. Just a difference to note if you are into collecting Military variations from different generations.

If anyone has a Fluted Titanium Military (C36TIFP) for sale, let me know. It is the next Military on my list to buy.
