Which Spyderco are you carrying today?

A better looking photo of my Dragonfly 2. At least I think it is a better looking photo than the last one.

Who needs a better picture? I just stumbled outside in the dark with a cup of coffee after a long day...

Seriously though, cool Dragonfly.

Thank you. I have one with the green G-10 scales and a VG-10 blade. I seriously liked it and when I saw that Spyderco did this run with Super Blue/SUS410 blade I couldn’t resist trying it out. I am not typically been fond of FRN handles but these are very stiff and light. I like them.

BTW: Nice mug!

The Dragonfly is a weird knife in that it takes things I normally don't like--FRN, a back lock, and the nub that forces the position of my first finger, and a thumb rise for the hole--and somehow makes them all work. Amazingly, the Wharncliffe Dragonfly is my EDC MVP. While it only sometimes acts as my primary carry, it is a regular secondary carry and has more pocket time than any other knife in current rotation.

Now if only I could get the Wharncliffe Dragonfly in a super stainless... I don't hate VG-10 or anything. I'd just love to see one in like MagnaCut, Elmax, S45VN, etc.. :)

Chronovore, I understand where you are coming from. It is a complete package for me. I like my VG-10 one with the foilage green G-10 scales and full liners but this one is pretty stiff handle wise and is a lighter package. I would REALLY like one in Magnacut steel but who know when or it will ever happen.

Maybe I will breakdown and get a K390 version.

Picked up a factory second Pacific Salt original version. I am liking it was more than I thought I would, I much prefer the ergos over the newer endura 4 handle designs I've owned in the past. The bidirectional grip on the newer models is grippier but this older volcano pattern actually feels quite nice to the touch. I don't know how Spyderco can make FRN feel so good because with other companies it always feels cheap. I couldn't leave it alone though, instantly had to grind the tip down a little bit because I like pointier blades.

This just arrived today, for a few knives there isn't a place to attach a lanyard, like on this Spyderco Sun & Moon Chaparral folder, so I took one of my dye dauber metal handle and cut off a section and bent it to fit down into the clip slots and now I have a small hook to attach a lanyard to, worked out well I thought ;)
