Go with the BG42 CF millie.

I got an older ATS34 off ebay and loved it- the scales are worn smooth but its still a keeper.

If I had to get another, it'd be the CF. You dont find a user and future collectable in the same package often....;)

the bg42 cf millie is the finest spyderco i have handled. i also have a g10 ats34 version of the millie, and while both are great knives, the new sprint run has a custom-like feel to it.

You all have got me wanting one, broke again. Always did like the miltary. Is it as light as the G-10 version?:)

Per Spyderco, the G-10 is 4.0 oz and the carbon fiber is 4.25 oz. Probably due to the extra steel liner. Actual weights may vary - I don't have a scale or else I'd weigh them for you. There's no noticeable difference in-pocket or in-hand.

This BG-42 CF Millie is probably my favorite out of the knives I have, (caly 3, Caly 3). The peel-ply handles is what makes it a real winner. I hope this material one day takes G-10's spot. It certainly is the better material of the two. This knife has the best Fit and Finish of any knife I have ever had...The only knife I have ever handled without finding something wrong with the F&F. It is absolutely flawless... Just like a custom model. I have fallen in love with the military model for sure.

Beck's Cutlery still has a BG-42 Military sitting on their shelf. Very nice, but I have no cash for knives this month.
Here is the phone #800-397-3830, in case anyone is looking for one. Tell them I sent you. :)
