Böker Plus with 440C blades is a nice knife.
I like mine, anyway. :)
But to be honest, my Buck 301 gets the most pocket time. :)

Of those you have listed, I have a GEC 66 and a Boker Buckskin stockman. Both are very nice. However, the Boker seems significantly sturdier and well suited to stand up to hard use whereas the GEC 66, while nice in its own right, seems more like eye candy than a hard use tool. I think you’d be very happy with the Boker.

EDIT: I'm a dope...I completely forgot that I also have a newer Case large stockman. Still, of the Case, Boker, and GEC, the Boker falls into the middle as far as size. Of the three, it gets far more carry time.

Have a couple of these bad boys they’re great. 8B123932-37E7-4103-9B34-BC378C4F4C2E.jpeg40621DA2-4E50-4AC2-BDC1-44671B9884FC.jpeg

After going through the search bar found someone to ask about the Katz @knarfeng what do you think of it? And what would you pick between it and a hemlock 66 with about a 4 pull

I know I could not be happy for very long with a knife that had only a 4 pull. Fortunately all my #66s have been at least a 5.

I wouldn't either, even for a collection knife that wouldn't be used. Of the seven 66's I've had only one was unacceptable. The rest are a tad lighter than I prefer but none insufficient. However if they had got the secondary blades to have the same pull as the mains on the run they would have been near perfect.

If they ever do another 81 stockman run I hope they make the pulls very firm, that can really make or break a knife.

If there ever do another 81 stockman run, I’ll have to file bankruptcy.

Agreed. I missed tbe Stockmans, but the 81 Moose is what started my addition. 3 deep, w/ one in my carry rotation. What a great knife.

If an 81 Stockman is released now..wouldn't be able to resist a handful.

There are plenty of the older Case 6375 Large Stockman knives out there that won't break the bank - purchased this 1980 model in mint condition several months ago for half the price of a new GEC 66. These older Case Knives have a more consistent walk and talk than the newer ones, so mail order isn't as iffy. OH

The same one I was considering let me know how the pulls and snaps are when you get it

Will do. Another Porch forum member (Railsplitter) and I live in the same city, and he was kind enough to allow me to handle and examine his 66 a few weeks back...oddly enough, this exact same variant (hemlock)!

So, I kinda have a good idea of what to expect - - light pulls on the secondary blades and around 5ish on the main clip.

Lookin' forward to gettin' mine in hand, regardless of the pulls, as I think the hemlock bone one is a real looker. Mike will get it shipped out today, I assume.

Just got this in, so my vote went to the Boker, nice folder, perfect pulls and the grinds on this one are fairly thin making them good cutters all.

Fantastic Stag on that one. I picked one up a few days ago great price on the carbon model $73. It’s perfect except the stag is very thick and I think the the main may slightly strike the bottom of the blade well one sharpening should fix it just like on the Böker trappers. 2FA0A010-32A1-41FD-9366-0AAC8E3C5E23.jpeg3763792A-4E00-45C5-8179-50552DF4C55F.jpeg

I concur about striking the bottom, just sharpened out that area on mine, now she be sharp, really sharp, I usually am gentle in closing, will be even more so with this one and I'll be watchful if anyone wants to take a gander ;)

I think that’s odd bc my other two Böker Stockmans don’t and about all their Trappers do. Must be because they don’t take enough metal off with the initial sharpening. They lay those blades deep in there

I didn't think it could hit, maybe it didn't and was just a flat spot from the previous owner but she looks pretty newish to me and the flat area seems too long to be a strike against the back spring, in any case, she's sharpened out now and you are correct they set their blades in pretty nicely, so the overall package is quite trim and fits in my watch pocket easily,

stag is about right not too thick, not too thin

Case usually has the sheepsfoot up high almost like a sail, here you can see it's nestled down low with the nail nick just a smidgen above the spey blade, which I am beginning to like more and more.
