Which Ti Framelock??

From your descriptions, you seem to be talking about linerlocks. If you want a true framelock with Titanium handles, the Kershaw Junkyard Dog II would be an ideal choice.

i dont understand this portion. the sebbie and pt are not framelocks, but the junkyard dog is?

btw, that rockstar looks pretty cool!

For the sake of comparison:

Top - Burke Pro Rockstar
Middle - Sm Classic MM Sebbie
Bottom - Yuna Mini-Hard 3 (my favorite)

Ti Framelocks all!

Here are some quick, and poorly lit, pictures comparing the Rockstar and Small Sebenza

Thanks guys for all the input:thumbup:...and yes i'm fishing for info on the new guy on the block the... Burke Rockstar. So I'd love to see some pics of it as well as shots with a small Sebe, so I get an idea of the size.
As for some of the other blades, i.e. BM mini skirmish I want to keep the blade length closer to the 3" mark due to local carry restrictions.
I hoping to pull the trigger on one of these blades over the next week or too..

Thanks Again
DaveR

Then the Tyrade would definately not be what you want. For some reason I read the original post thinking you wanted larger than the ones you mentioned. I was most likely reading my desires in yours! There are some good pics in the Tactical Knives Magazine, if you can find a copy.

Was probably referring to the titanium handled JYD that has the ZDP blade steel, as it is a framelock.

Thanks for the pics, great looking knives!...The Rockstar looks like one heavy duty knife to say the least! makes the Sebe look dainty. Looks like I'm going to need to get a Sebe as well as the Burke:D How does the Rockstar compare to the Ti Cyclone size wise...looks like the 2 should be pretty close. had the Cyclone TiZDP..great knife but would have liked a slightly longer handle too make it perfect.

Thanks
Dave

Have handled a couple of his larger knives at shows - missed this one. Hmm- wonder how it would look with the handle painted black?

I didnt know the sebenza, bradley, and strider use liner locks... Thats news to me!

LOL. FAIL! :thumbdn:

Not to mention, the yunkyard knife you suggested is NOT frame lock, like the OP wants. its linerlock. big difference.

It compares fairly well and has a longer handle:

Thanks again for the pics:thumbup:.....now I'm sold on the Rockstar...I'm going to pull the trigger and order one tonight...next will be the Sebe.

Thanks again
Dave

Thats a bigger knife than I imagined. Thanks for the pics. I had not seen the Rockstar beside something I was familiar with.

I really like the Rockstar and took it apart the other day to clean it. Cool design that allows it not to have a stop pin. Materials are very nice with well finished titanium handles, CPM154 blade, excellent screws and hardware, and a nice machined G-10 spacer. The action is super smooth and the lockup super secure.

There are only two things that I don't like about the knife. I kind of wish it had pb washers but I thought I heard Tom Mayo uses nylon washers in his customs so it is not that bad I guess.
The other is that it is tip down carry and I prefer tip up carry, so I may try and switch the clip by drilling and tapping the handles.

Well I did it...today I ordered a small classic micarta Sebe:thumbup:, I figured while I had the cash in my pocket I'd get this one, since it is a great EDC, and I always wanted the micarta scales.
The Rockstar is next though, this guy looks like it will be one heavy duty work knife! I have a few fires in the works to get the money together...I also hijacked the wifes C.C. so it maybe on order sooner than ya think:eek:...Anyone around Cleveland wiith a spare couch I can lay my head...I think once the wife gets the bill I may need a place to stay...lol.

Great choice on the Sebenza, as I love my small classic. I got the Sebenza before the Rockstar and I am glad that I got the Sebenza first.
The Rockstar is a great knife and I enjoy it very much but the Sebenza is on another level in terms of overall finish and ergonomics for me.

imho terrible lol.

my fav framelocks are the hinderer customs FWIW, thought the rockstars look cool too.

Bobby Branton, a moderator and maker here at BF has two knives I've been looking at recently..the Raider and the Transition. His website does not have much info as to materials but I believe the handles are Ti.

I really like the Raider design as well, wish there were specs on them I definitely like to know the stats, as well as steel used.. I really like the lines of the knife, looks similar to the Kershaw Skyline or vice versa, awesome scale design and blade profile..plus you have different blade options. http://www.brantonknives.com/index....emid=5&page=view&catid=2&PageNo=1&key=6&hit=1
