Ok guys… first thanks a lot for all the support, its kinda heart warming, even my wife was blown away by it.


Now, a mod is the one that let me know someone pitched a fit, they were nice about it and such said they were choosing to ignore it but gave me a warning.

I am on bladeforums because I love knives, but I also love a lot of other things and I find it interesting when we all get a chance to discuss those loves and talents, hell if we only discussed knives this site would suck…. Really suck…. And that is the reason I stay on bladeforums, it is also why I am a gold member and have offered to donate pieces as fundraisers for SPARK….. in the end I am here because I have found a buch of folks that I like and know how to have fun as well as stick together.


Again thanks for the solidarity and support.
 
Actually I think most of us dig your work. Really great detail. I have no problem w/ your posts and I doubt other Piglets/Hogs/Rats/Dogs do either. . No worries VTW!

Besides, you contribute a lot of cool knife related topics. ;)

BF has always seemed to me to be uptight about business - particularly selling. Kind of an odd deal, but I guess that's the way it goes.

I wouldn't worry much about it. The world needs more people who are genuinely excited about their vocations.

The mod's are cool. I don't understand how it can be foreseen as selling, but I'm not a mod. I enjoy seeing your work and have never seen it as advertising. Hopefully this will blow over and the person upset with your "advertising" will see it as what it really is.... Sharing a passion with brothers.

I like taking walks on the beach in ALASKA while drinking an ice cold COCA-COLA while carrying a BUSSE COMBAT KNIFE on my WILDERNESS BELT that is holding up my CARHARTT pants. To stay warm, I wear a CARHARTT coat that compliment my HANES boxer shorts that I wipe my hands on after eating CHEETOS. I am typing on a DELL COMPUTER using MICROSOFT technology.


The above is just to simply point out that everyday, we are hit with "advertising" in many various forms and don't realize it. Tin Works was just sharing his passion with us and never posted things such as "If you want to know a price, contact me" or "This is a piece I just did that needs a new home". Please understand that many of us share a passion that we may or may not be involved in and wish to express that with our brothers. I feel that if Tin Works was/has advertised, that a Busse mod would have corrected his post and advised it. Please allow us to enjoy the pieces of art that are shown and remember that anytime a knife is posted, that person is unintentionally "advertising" for that maker. Same goes for gear.

Note: This is not aimed at the un-named mod in question. I understand and respect their decision. This is simply something I wished to express in hopes of gaining understanding and tolerance.
 
Man, I had to laugh my butt off with all the Valley Tin Works banners....I like custom work and had no problem either. I wish I could afford a nice custom ceiling. peace, John
