I talk about myself more on here than anywhere (and, yes, possibly anyone) else. Why? Because what I have to say is something I give a crap enough to share with this posse. That said, VTW, talks less about himself and has more interesting things to share here than many.

simply I agree w/ all that I have read. Keep on showing your work I enjoy looking at it very much. YOu have too much talent to keep it under a basket.
 
Sure is awfully selfcentered of you to give some stuff away and bring your knowledge to the forum. I sure hope that we can convince you to not change a thing that you do because of someone that hasn't taken a moment to look at what's going on.

You just have to be covert about it. Try a "dutch oven"! Works sort of like a silencer. Or you can blame it on the dog. Or just "man up", to hell with pleasantries, pump your fist in the air, and claim it HOG style! :D :thumbup:

I was the mod who was contacted regarding this issue.

First off, it is not an issue, so lets do away with all of the posturing, ok? What VTW posted in the trade forums was not a violation of any of our rules. I had a very frank 'conversation' with him, and outlined our guidelines and rules for that forum. Any of you who sell or trade here know we ask for specifics when trading; like a Busse for a Busse, ect. As VTW is offering a trade of his work for a Busse, I let the thread stand.

Second, you folks need to understand that we do get a lot of advertising SPAM on this board, and we have had dealers who try to put one over on us all of the time. When things like that happen, it raises red flags, and we have to investigate. The sig line banners can be interpreted as advertising, and if it gets out of hand, you may be asked to remove them.

As for this forum here, what goes on here is up to Jerry and his appointed moderators. If you folks have contests, drawings, ect here, and the mods allow it, then there isn't a problem. I personally don't visit this forum very often, and when I do, I'm a guest here. I am a moderator at BFC, but this isn't one of the areas I cover. If I see something out of place here, I'll contact one of the mods here to deal with it. I want it clear that the person reporting VTW's post was from the Exchange area, and not here in the Busse forum.

Some of you and one member in particular, I find some of your comments out of line. We don't 'burn' people for reporting incidents, nor do we threaten them. We don't 'piss on them' if they are on fire. people here are encouraged to report posts if they think there is something wrong, and one person did when they thoght VTW's post in the trade area was wrong. No shame in that. Threats against this person, or me as the mod involved will earn you a walk down the plank. I guarantee that. I admire each and every one of you for defending your friend, but please keep it civil, and understand that the issue was resolved before it got anywhere. Also, this isn't 'Whine and Cheese'.

Now, everyone please take a deep breath, and think before you disparage another member for doing what he thought was the right thing.

Mike, thanks for the clarification. My initial understanding was that folks had reported one of VTW's contest threads. That notion got the response from me ("whiny beeyotches deserve to be spanked hard!"), though it was mostly in jest and mostly an excuse to fiddle with the size of the signature logo as a show of support. I still stand by my comment as a general philosophy, however. :D

thanks for posting here. If the shoe were on the other foot I know I wouldn't want to be raked over the coals for reporting something I thought was wrong.
The thing about Burn Her or Burn Him, I believe you might have misinterpeted. That has been KaKK's sig line in one variation or another since I have been here I believe. We refer to it alot in jest.

I will be removing my VTW emblem from my sig now as I believe the point of them is past. I would suggest others do the same so as not to be precieved as advertizing the site and cause more problems for VTW.
 
I don't have the time to read all of the posts right now i.e.(points of view) but, I will post how I always do. uninfluenced by others postings unless I agree. I don't care if you advertise your business here or not. I could do so as I am self employed in a way. It wouldn't help much as no one here would probably find a need for what I do, nor do I have a web site or need one. You contribute greatly to this forum and give away free prizes so scr#w them.
I like metal work, but even if I hated it I wouldn't complain. Glad you like your job. nice work:thumbup:
 
VTW your posts have been nothing but informative and ive learned alot from them..Im there with the lit torch and ready to set some a$$ on fire if need be...
