White light white heat!

Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a folder quite like that. How long is it overall? And what’s the white handle material?
It's Dave Shirley's 2003 re-creation of Marble's Folding Hunting Knife (early 1900's). The blade is 5", and the handle is 4.5". The original Marble's versions were done in black gutta percha. This one is done in a synthetic faux ivory.

Steve your white bone didn't get verdigris around pins, which makes me ask are modern gec pins copper and your vintage shefield steel.

It's all steel , liners and pins. GEC uses brass mostly I believe.

Rufus1949 Rufus1949 that is a distinct downer I must agree Bob, robust sabre ground knives you'd expect serious W&T. Good to know though....

Thanks, Will

French knives can't be snapped back into place unless you put some 'nesting' material like cork, leather, piece of soft wood etc in the well. Pull is satisfying and snap would be heavy as they're difficult to shut-good safety feature.

Here a Sabot Langres that gives you a long useful blade in otherwise compact dimensions :)
