Just 2?? :)
I do have 2 I carry that do all my cutting. The others are just back-ups to back-ups. I supoose I don't have to carry them, but I like to. :)

Blades

I carry a small plain Sebenza in BG-42 for special tasks, and the smallest SAK that has a canopener for everyday humdrum cutting tasks where gawking sheeple are present.

I think I'm going to throw the Schrade stockman back into my travel bag.:)

CHEERS

Often one locking and one non-locking knife. Maybe a Spyderco Calypso Jr or Paramilitary and a Schrade or Queen or Case, etc.

Wave and a one-hander, but I'm gonna pick up a midnite minichamp and may start carrying it as a third (absolutely no idea why :p)

I try to follow the same logic as Ryan8. My large bocote Sebenza and usually my Case slimline Trapper or Victorinox Explorer.

I almost always have a Spyderco Dodo with me, and that is either paired with a Spyderco Centofante 4, or a Spyderco Paramilitary.

I joined the 2 EDC club today. I got myself a Buck 112 for my dress knife/second edc. The buck rides at 7 o'clock in the leather case and my BM551 lives in my left front pocket.

I have quite a few knives that I tend to rotate. I most often carry a Native 1 or a Delica and a leverletto. I love the leverletto. It's get's the uhs and ahs.

If I'm on the boat, I carry the Salt 1 and a KAL 74 or S&W Extreme OPs. They are quick and sharp and not irreplaceable if I lose them overboard.

I carry two on my person now (I never liked that much in my past). I carry my Benchmade 550 and Victorinox Compact for its smaller, thinner blade, scissors, and other gadgets (the ballpoint pen is a nice feature, too). I used to think it was overkill, but really it just gives me a lot more versatility. Most cutting chores (opening packages etc.) go to the Griptilian because it's easier to access, but sometimes I really like having a thin, flat blade. And of course it's pretty obvious which knife gets screwdriving duty :D (the Griptilian :p )

Two or three...,depending on whether I'm in rural area's or not.

A Victorinox (either a Swiss Spirit or Farmer) or a CRK Mnandi.
A Sebenza or Strider folder.
A CRK ShadowIII or Fällkniven H1.

Two are with me every day; a Calypso Jr. and Victorinox Executive.

They both carry extremely light and have worked well together for me - with the Executive models going on almost 25 years and the Caly since it's intro. I sometimes feel a bit "under-knifed" but . . .

On any given day, two to four larger folders like Spyderco Civilian, Vaquero Grande and various CS Voyagers are also with me in my out-bag. I can and do often grab and carry one when the need arises. Also, a large utility grade Bowie is close by in the car.

Seems that I usually have three:

Boker Tree Brand 4" stockman
Victorinox Tinker
Victorinox Rambler (on keychain)

2 seems to work well for me. Something a little classy/people friendly for light cutting then something a little tougher/larger for hard use.
