Who all has..

I've got a DWMS:D, but none of that Lean stuff;)

I think when the DW was introduced it was a slightly thinner grind around .230 +/-, but it looks like Mike's onto the ones that escaped not only at .250", but also 5/16" too!:eek::eek:

Can someone clarify how the Desert Warfare Mean Street was supposed to differ from the regular mean streets. Mine is the 5/16" variety as well. I thought all of the DWMS were 5/16" with the tan handle

I dug this one out of my pages of Busse Info.
"DWMS
The OFFICIAL Desert Warfare Mean Street
The specs are identical to the regular Mean Street except a) it's a little thinner, .230 instead of .250 INFI. b) Tan Micarta Handles
For those who don't know, this model is a variant Mean Street with Desert Tan, Diamond Quilted canvas micarta handles and a blade that's a little thinner than the standard Mean Street... .230 INFI instead of .250 INFI."

Eric, thanks man, good info to have. How dang big is that library??

I've only heard about a few of the 5/16" ones. I got lucky and scored one a while back.

More versions to collect now....

Mike,
Got your message...Sorry, I'm keeping the Satin LMS.

How about a 2-tone like Eric's GM?
MO is here..LMS will go out tomorrow.

By the way..There were 117 LMS's
I know of 5 Tan handled LMS's with the crinkle coat and 1 Satin Busse embossed LMS:D

See! .230, it's "Official"!;)

So all you guys with the thin reject "lean" and overweight .3125" boat anchors should send them to qualified personell (Mike or myself:p) for immediate verification:D:D:D

Very nice picture..., thanks!

Right, what Strabs said. We'll even pay shipping. It's the least we can do to ease your pain...:D
