Who can see the 2024 Writing on the wall " Knife Purchases" ?

I prefer to keep my hobbies and investments separate, lest I combine the two and suck the enjoyment out of my hobby and the profit out of my investments.
 
Enjoy 'em. You'll end up in the same place regardless. Some things are worth the joy of having had them...

(However, I strongly agree with the separation of funds for investing and taking care of family and life's necessities...and what we spend for our indulgences.)
 
I'm not sure what knives the OP is referring to, but I've only seen the price of GECs and Spydercos steadily inch upwards.

I keep telling the wife that the resale value of knives is greater than used cocaine so be grateful

Haha! Good point. I buy what I like 99% of the time with the intention to use and carry. I guess used knives hold more value that fancy restaurant dinners eaten, empty bottles of wine, used designer shoes, etc.
