Who can tell me if this is fake - Strider SMF

Some of these fakes are about as good as the originals anymore. With brands like Strider, Hinderer, and CRK, I have seen some outstanding fakes. I would only purchase any of those from an authorized dealer. Not worth taking the chance if you want the real deal.

Looks real to me as well. The DGG folders are crazy light weight. I don't believe it's a testament to their being flimsy though. IMO you shoulda kept it and put it through your paces.

Its for sure legit. The DGG models are really light weight as they take a lot of material off. The SMF DGG I had still felt solid to me tho. No flex in the handle or blade movement.
Like others said if you wanted a tank of a tank than the Lego SMF would have been your ticket.

Yeah I'm an idiot haha, but from what I was seeing online I just couldn't tell a difference. Anyways I'm gonna try and see if I can't find an SMF with the aluminum grip, if not i'll go for the lego.

Thanks to everyone who reached out, your input was really helpful.

I'd recommend G10 over aluminum any day all day. Mainly because I prefer the way it wears. I have every flavor of SnG (except aluminum) and I still prefer the Lego for most applications, mainly because the added bulk does give a little more confidence. Get yourself a Lego!

Also at one point I had like 10 Strider knives at the same time. There were at least three fairly distinctly different "flying war penis" (FWP) logos. They probably still have a few different dies and then some logos are machined, ect...

Just look up older/early Striders. Not all of them have the steel type stamped on them. And even the printing"STRIDER" can be a click off.

Many have found that they didn't like one handle style, but loved another. If you have a Knife shop anywhere near you that carries Striders, you could save some money and time vs the hit or miss method that I have used. I originally didn't like the lego style at all, but at this point I have adapted to liking all the handle styles in the SnG(SMF is just not for me-just a little too big and too heavy. I think the SnG is a perfect EDC, but of course opinions will vary)

Strider's aren't everyone's dream knife. If you find they aren't for you that is OK. There are many other fine makers out there.
