Who Carries a Small Traditional Knife?

Oh man, every time you post those, I get a huge wave of nostalgia. They are sooo 50's! Ike was in the White House, Chevy's had tail fins, and Coke's cost a nickle and had real suger in them.

Time travel on a keychain.:D

Thanks, None of them have a stamp on them and there are suble differences in the grind, tangs and f/f. I can picture them on a board by the checkout counter. Some look like imperials mostly. Thats what intriged me, trying to find out their history.

Imperial and Colonial were the two bigest makers of those keychain counter slippies. They actually had pretty decent carbon steel in them, and would get very sharp.

My Case 62032 Texas Jack with amber bone handles seems to be able to take care of at least 95% of all my cutting chores of late...and it fits in my pocket quite nicely as well!

I have to concur with the rest... Anything over 3.5" feels too big to me. (Did I really just say that?)

Occasionally I carry a small 3" +/- lockback, and lately I've been carrying a U.S. Schrade 33OT for a while. I went so far as to buy a large Case Stockman two years ago, and realized after I got it that I preferred smaller traditional knives. I never thought I'd say that about a traditional pattern, and I never thought I'd carry less than three blades.

thx - cpr

I carry two small folders all the time: Victorinox Signature Saphir (SAK classic with retractable ballpoint pen though I've really thought to replace it with Finlandia Prime / SAK Rambler to have philips screw driver and can opener) and in my watch pocket I have my Case Peanut Amber Bone Stainless.

I think my Case Peanut is good back up for Case Texas Jack... It's always good to have a back up knife... or three.
