Who doesn't like a good accent?

Yea I always get a kick out of talking with folks around the world. Being up here Russian is a big influence.

I used to have a Scottish neighbor, got to admit I would love to have a Scottish accent!

Let me spend 5 min with someone that has an accent and I will be talking like them for a week.

This is a cute thread started by a girl easily matching that same descriptor.

My accent is United States of American...a bit of this and a tad of that...lived all over, especially in my youth...so you get what you get.

As always was nice chatting with you today, Lexi.

Lol we Californians think everyone has an accent but us --- nothing sticks out more than one of them Boston accents.

My accent has caused me more than a few problems in the US...mostly in bars and restaurants when simply trying to order "a coke"... seems I know what *I* am saying but I am the only one that does...:D

You were part of my inspiration to start this thread. ;)

Our corporate IT help desk is located in Belfast. Some of those folk are a bit hard to understand.

The accents that I can understand are the ones I like. I feel like a terrible customer service rep when I have a really difficult time understanding and I have to ask them to please e-mail me instead.

I used to be a telemarketer (I know, I know...scum of the earth blah blah) in my younger years and always got comments on my kentucky accent. Had a woman once have a 30 min conversation with me just because she liked my accent. I thought she was just trying to waste my time but, she end up signing up for a credit card.

For sure, Lexi has faced more than different accents, because busse lovers can be found worldwide and like me, making many English mistakes. But it's all fun.

I will say that I love being able to talk to people from around the world at shows. Thank God for Google translate. LOL
