Who doesn't like a good accent?

Hate to agree with your teacher, but that's the way to go. When I switched from French to English school I was matched with a bilingual kid for the year. I was expected to be able to understand by the beginning of my second year. I was in grade 3, mind you. At that age kids are sponges.... They learn a lot faster than old farts lol

Total immersion is best when learning a new language .... Cheers!

My teacher was the same. He would walk in and say <Bon jour - ouvre le fenetre> and on from there..... ;)

It did make it a LOT easier to learn the language, it was just difficult to adjust to right away after the summer break and having not used it since walking out of school the previous school year.

AND you still got "en français" right :D

I don't think I'll ever be able to forget my dear Madame Hackett saying those words. She was very comical about it, so much so that she almost looked like a cartoon character when she did it. She was a rather short plump woman and she had one of those high pitched voices that made her sound like a mouse. Shaking her head slowly, holding a finger in the air waving it back and forth as if to scold us, saying "uh uh uh...en français", that image will be forever engrained in my memory. :)

...At least, you've got good memories. Many look upon learning French as torture. :beaten: :)

Pokey, I think your Spanish is just fine!;)............................................................:D

I am still getting e-mails that start with *In my best Australian accent...

LOL!

There is only a VERY small group of people allowed to start an e-mail like that Lexi.... :grumpy: If they can't provide a correct Aussie post code please refer them to me for action...!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

That's right Tom :friendly_wink:. Those glasses that I'm wearing induce an hypnotic trance in Roos causing them to forget their Ninja training. They, then, revert to their docile nature :D
