Who EDC a fully serrated Spyderco?

I carry this one about a quarter of the time:

The spyderedge is very effective, and the wave is a lot of fun. :D

+1 on the Waved SE Delica 4.
I carry a plain edge knife in my right pocket and the Waved SE Delica in my left pocket for a quick Self Defense option.

I carried a fully serrated Delica for ten years as my only pocket knife. It required a minimum of sharpening to satisfy me.

I still carry the same fully serrated Police with stainless steel handles that I have since '98. It is my on duty knife carried in the front pouch of my kevlar. When we are issued new vests, I just move it to the next one. It is as sharp as the day I bought it.

This color is sick, what knife is this?

In order to get a black Delica 4 FFG - which Mr. Sal does not offer - I did a blade swap between a blue Delica 4 FFG and a black Delica 4 SE. That blue knife is the result. Its world's only known blue Delica 4 SE. :)

You dont know how many times I kick myself for not picking up a serrated version when i had the chance. The waved endura is one of my favorite models

Wow, I personally would prefer that blue one over the black one ;) I didn't think the Blue FFG was that light, really digging the look, definitely picking one up on payday.

I have been misunderstood in the past and I want to use this sub-forum to set the record straight. Because of my love for Spyderco's special serration patterns aka>> The Spyderedge it has been said that I do not like plain edged knives>> Absolutely NOT!!! I use a plainedged Spyder just about equally as much as I do any of the Spyderedged folders I often carry.

My all time favorite Spyder to carry was the C-44 big Dyad model which I've given a rest the past year or so but I do plan on EDCing it again before too long and I do hold out hopes that Spyderco will someday on the horizon come out with another full sized big Dyad>> hopefully a C-44 with a Super-Steel like ZDP-189 would be great!! For those of you new on the scene the C-44 big Dyad was Spyderco's only full sized, double bladed model that sported a full sized, sheepsfoot blade which was fully Serrated and it also had one clip point, streamlined plain edged blade. The C-44 for all intent and purposes is the best of both worlds and I won't rest till it comes back again.

But I do always carry at least one plain edged Spyder daily and at least one fully serrated Spyder daily. My current dynamic duo are a C-46 Bob Lum Tanto and a G-10, ATS-55, SE Harpy model. And believe me between those 2 there is hardly no cutting chore I need additional blades for.

Keep in mind folks not all serrations are created equal>> and until Spyderco became part of my life I didn't really like serrated blades for everyday usage at all. But my very first Spyder I obtained back in 1995 which was a fully serrated, G-2 Mariner model truly did change the way I looked at serrated blades. Spyderco's patented serrations are not at all like most of the earlier serrated blades most of us have dealt with in the past. Whether it be one of their great culinary blades which most havy a wavy serration or one of their work/tactical models you just won't find an equal for them from any production knife company out there.
I just wish that this new edition of the C-60 Ayoob model was available in SE and I also wish that the Temperance 2 fixed blade model was available in SE just like it's predecessor was. A good Spyderedged blade is truly an indispensible tool for me and I plan on carrying and using one full time from here on out. JD

Current edc...serrated black spyderhawk and a pe blue stretch, zdp. Both the plain & serrated bases well covered.

Like slimshaneee says, they just tear through everything. Mine have been fairly dull at times, and the
serrated edge still cuts. Not neatly, as stated earlier, but it still gets the job done.

These two get quite a bit of pocket time, along with my more traditional slipjoint cutters. Top one is
an Endura 4 in VG-10 steel that I got used from a member here, and he'd cut a 'wave' into the top.
I removed that, and rescaled it with scales from a ZDP-189 model. (It just slaughters cardbord.)
The bottom is a Delica 4 in VG-10 steel that was rescaled by a previous owner, who switched
scales with a 'waved' model. (I was in this odd phase where I didn't want any more black
knives for a while.)

I prefer a full spyderedge over a partially serrated Endura. I've got an old clip it in G2 steel that is one of my favorite knives.
