Who else buys doubles of their favorite knives?

Recently, I found my absolute favorite EDC knives. The H&K 14205 and 14210. Being that they're both discontinued models, I snapped up two of each, which wasn't all that easy to find them in plain edge satin (my preference). I have quite a few knives, but this is the first time I've found ones that I feel the need to have a spare just in case.

Who else buys doubles and what knife or knives are they?

I bought two plain satin Benchmade 610's before they were discontinued. I'm sure glad I did.

I had my Spyderco Tenacious for about a month before I bought another. The only reason I did buy another one, though, is because I lost the first one! I eventually found it (hence the "doubles"). I gave the spare to my wife, but she doesn't use it much so it's there if I want it.

I do. I've got 2 BM 710's and 2 Delica 4's. I've also got 3 mini Grips but they all have different blade shapes.

Different configurations don't count. I have 3 Delica 4's.... 1 waved, 1 FFG and 1 with damascus, titanium bolsters and bone handle. I'm asking about doubles of the same exact knife.

Well in that case no I don't have any doubles. Although I'm realy thinking about a second Sage II.

I've bought a ton of doubles. Usually trade most away though after I realize it's silly. The only doubles I won't trade away are some of my Busse's.

Just in case I lose one:eek::D

Normaly no because it's fun to put one away for a bit and pick up something different. I may however double or triple up on the Becker ''Tweeners'', particularly the BK-16 is it ? The drop point that looks like a shrunken BK-2. Man oh man..... Sweet cherry pie !

Exact duplicate? I have one pair of exact duplicate knives.
Different versions of the same knife? Yeah, a few different pairs.

I have quite a few doubles - Militaries (about 8 maybe), Case Peanuts, Spydie Tenacious, a pair of brown Militaries and a pair of orange ones, and plenty of others.

You never know when there will be a knife shortage, you know. Its just plain common sense to stock up supplies in case of a national emergency or weather-related power outage. Everyone knows that.

I bought a second Spyderco PPT when I found a deal on one. It's the only one that I've ever done that way just because if I lost all my other knives and just had the PPT I'd be perfectly happy. For me it's the perfect EDC.

I have been known to double Limited Edition knives I like...just because it's hard to find a replacement if I break/lose my user.

I don't double knives that are readily available...but to each his/her own!

Wish I would've doubled-up on my 806D2 AFCK. That's gotten most of my pocket time for the past 4-5 years and I wish I had a spare for the inevitable day that it gets lost or too worn. Thus far, it's in great shape, so it'll be a while before it needs replacing. And no, the new LE definitely does not count. Same goes for my TSEK.

I have doubles on a few. Kulgera, Large DejaVoo, Mini Grips in M390, 710's although D2 and M390. If I had more money I'd have more knives and more doubles.
