Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

I have been avoiding carrying this thing around the barn as I was certain I'd lose it or it wouldn't be big enough to handle chores, so I relegated it to in-town carry or when I needed something more "gentlemanly." I have to say that this pocket puukko by Nighthaxan at Suwannee Knife Works in Florida cuts above its size. I've found it fits perfectly in the watch pocket of a pair of carpenter's jeans and disappears from view if that's a problem for some folks. I'll be carrying it solo to see whether I miss a big folder on my chores today.

A bit over 5" overall, 2 and 1/8" blade, 2" cutting edge, 3/8" handle thickness, 1/8" blade thickness. Curly maple scales (iirc), and 1095 steel (also iirc).

Welp, you've convinced me of the benefits of a self defense fixed blade. I still CCW a .357, but in addition to that, and a pocket knife, I am also carrying this 3V beaut IWB.

I convexed and polished the tip using water stones, strops, and polishing compound.

My experience as a hunter, has firmly placed me in the camp, that knows that no other material even approaches Kraton when it comes to security of grip when it comes to wet, bloody hands, and clean up afterwards.

I'm actually liking the 3v Recon Tanto better. I'm currently waiting on a 3v "Fugitive" by James Terrio. If that doesn't satisfy my need for 3v... Tanto time.

I was looking at the Recon Tanto, but like the skull crusher of the Master Tanto, as well as the ricasso not taking up so much real estate in the 3V models. But for a skull crusher, and a steel hand guard, you pay a premium. The Recon is a better value, significantly.

I was in the air between the Master Tanto, or Magnum Tanto II (7.5" blade) but decided on the Master Tanto, since it was for the purpose of concealed carry. Looking forward to your video of the Terrio when it comes in.
