Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

Never had a bad Port....
While I can totally agree with this, I must say I don't like them too sweet. So, I generally stay away from the red port (young) and prefer a tawny (mix of aged reds). I have a Porto Valadao 10 years in my glass right now and it's pretty nice for the very affordable price. Sorry for the drift... Here is another fixed blade EDC : small Leukku (4" blade, 4" handle) by Ashenforge from Blade Forums' Knife Maker's Market :

My birthday is next month, and I live near one of the best liquor stores in the country...... I held off my drinking this year until May....if this post is reasonable, I'll give it a try.... Thank you.

Is your previous black trailing point a regular of D.M.?
I don't have one of His yet, but a few look nice.

Well, yes ! It's a regular David Mary Custom pattern. At least it was last year, when it was offered in November (if memory serves). David might do it again, especially if there is enough demand. I am totally delighted with this knife. While the stock is a bit thick for my taste (but most will love it ! Strength !!!) it is an awesome slicer. So much so, that it dwells on the kitchen counter for all (paring) small knife tasks. I carry it also as a necker (light enough...) and in the pocket (the size is just right with slanted carpenter trousers pockets). Belt carry, for those who prefer, is evidently possible : the Kydex sheath allows all sorts of Paracord threadings for the belt carry style you prefer.

If you like it, wait for the big brother ! Awesome hollow grind. I love these knives :

Here the two in relation (just the blanks, for a representation). The pattern is a thousand years hit, so, yes, you can't go wrong. But no...That Ashenforge guy takes it really to the next level. Especially with his crisp hollow grind ! :

Oh man, I'd like to spend some time with those two in the woods!!! Like a month or two!!!!
Very nice!! I'll have to keep that maker in mind.. I've got Phillip Patton making me another custom at the moment, but always good to have a want list goin..

I, too, am amazed at how aggressively it seems to cut, even after the edge has become ragged and deflects light like a disco ball. And also how easily it sharpens back up. I am pretty excited about MagnaCut, but it's going to have to really work hard to dethrone LC200N for me.
