Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

Just took a look at some of the Battlehorse knives, they a few more styles that fit the small fixed blade scenario.

How's your experience with the 4V? I've got mine waiting for handles & kydex.

Yeah, I've only had mine setup for use for about a week now!
So far I can't say much from my limited experience, other than it was in great condition out of the box and grinds seem even. Cuts very well in light kitchen and daily duties so far. Slight bluing from use, but not as fast or drastic as 52100 or Super Blue.
I know many people like to reprofile and sharpen right out of the box, but I'm just going to use it and won't touch it up until it needs it, then compare.

There's a 4V Mule thread in the Spyderco sub-forum, but I'm amazed at the lack of feedback there so far.

So, today I had something special with me - my first fixed blade ever (this one was circa 1981-83, IIRC) - a Buck 102, given to me by my dad for my first deer hunting trip. I've never taken photos of this one before:

And had a friend along as well, the Patriot:

As usual, very nice cutlery.

That's a different blade style. What is it?

I was skething some sheepfoot bladeshapes on a paper last year and thought it would be fun to make this one,
i chose RWL-34 in .125" and did a scandigrind, of course, as i'm a Swede :p
I've used it a lot outdoors and it keeps the edge well.

Hopefully by the end of this week I'll have pics of my new tkd blades kephart:) this thread makes me wish I'd have kept my edc sized fixed blades
