Kindly tell me more about blade #2 from the left, good sir!
Really great stuff, Tom. Curious, though, do you keep certain pairs together, or do you mix 'em up a bit?
Ughhhhh, painting a deck in a Missouri summer would suck. A very long time ago I roofed houses in a St. Louis summer, never again.
In the city knives s35v may have a slight advantage in edge retention in my experience, but that is purely subjective based on my daily use. Either steel in that model holds an edge long enough for me. It is the convex grind, I think, that gives it the "sliciness" that I really like.
Day 2 with my Shaerk little-mini-bush, we are getting along famously.

I am sure seeing a pattern and like the idea. Are those sheaths something that come with those fixed blades or?
Very pretty knives!
I love that color of blue too!

You consistently post photos of some of the most beautiful knives I have ever seen. You have one hell of a collection sir.
Very nice. Hamon and fullers?! Clean handle wrap too. Looks like excellent work. Who made that?
Hardedgeknives - that's what I said when I saw it! Hamon! Fullers! Handle wrap! He had posted one and it had sold before I got there, I sent him a PM saying basically "the next time you make one of those I will buy it immediately" and he had a second one ready to go.
I swear this knife was designed for me. I was idly sketching knives exactly like this in junior high - before I knew what hamons and fullers were called and well before I even owned a knife. Turns out my tastes hold true 15 years later.
