Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

Excuse the mess behind the blades, but here's my normal lineup

Ughhhhh, painting a deck in a Missouri summer would suck. A very long time ago I roofed houses in a St. Louis summer, never again :).

In the city knives s35v may have a slight advantage in edge retention in my experience, but that is purely subjective based on my daily use. Either steel in that model holds an edge long enough for me. It is the convex grind, I think, that gives it the "sliciness" that I really like.

Day 2 with my Shaerk little-mini-bush, we are getting along famously.

Very pretty knives!

I love that color of blue too!

I am sure seeing a pattern and like the idea. Are those sheaths something that come with those fixed blades or?

Hi Thomas - that is the Adirondack from KnivesShipFree, it came with the CPM154 versions of the Bark River city knife for a while. They sell it with a different sheath now, it has a smaller pouch for a folder. Think it is called the Pocono? It is too small for most of my folders, think it was meant for a small flashlight or pen maybe.

Thanks Cate, much appreciated!

Hello Fixed Blade Knife friends,

I am still carrying my fixed blade knife on a daily basis outside of my home. I carry it even though I have to use a cane on and off now but I am hoping that the cane will not be needed in a couple of months.

My favorite daily carry knife is still the BUCK Ranger Skinner 113 knife. I still carry this in my fanny pack.

My second favorite one for 'open carry' is my BUCK 119 Special knife.

I still keep the Ka-Bar 1211 by my side of the bed.

I still use the 2 sweet Buck small paring kitchen knives.

I still use the Buck Pak Lite knives on and off around the house too.

I gave my husband my Buck Woodsman 102 knife today since I was not using it as much as my Buck 113 and Buck 119 knives.

He still uses the Buck Vanguard that I gifted back to him too. (Plus the Buck folding knives, 55 and 110, since I only use fixed blade knives now.)

I did not look for the one thread where we discussed using a one or your most favorite FB knife for a longer period of time.

So this is what I have been using on a daily basis for a FB knife since I like it so much!

Take care and thanks to all of you who posted in this thread with the pretty pictures and descriptive posts!

I'd carried this Ontario RAT 3 in D2 for about 2 years up until about three weeks ago:

My current carry fb, Sharek Burning Bush in S30V ... love love love it!

Very nice. Hamon and fullers?! Clean handle wrap too. Looks like excellent work. Who made that?

Hardedgeknives - that's what I said when I saw it! Hamon! Fullers! Handle wrap! He had posted one and it had sold before I got there, I sent him a PM saying basically "the next time you make one of those I will buy it immediately" and he had a second one ready to go.

I swear this knife was designed for me. I was idly sketching knives exactly like this in junior high - before I knew what hamons and fullers were called and well before I even owned a knife. Turns out my tastes hold true 15 years later.

Kelley does some amazing work. Not only is that a stunning piece, that Hamon is sweet.

I mostly carry folders but if I do carry a fixed blade it will be my Alan Davis custom that matches his folder that I carry all the time. Kevin

New fixed blade got here and I'm still trying to figure out how to carry it comfortably.

I have concealed carried the CS OSS and CRKT Hissatsu no problems, they are longer but they're not nearly as wide.

Any idea on how to have this one on my person, IWB or not, without too much hassle?

You sure guys have some ideas.

It's a very big blade, but my definite EDC fixed I hope. Perfect for summer, hiking, outdoors trips and camping.

Thanks much!
