Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

^^^I never get tired of seeing your pics, especially the ones with your Barkies. #s 1, 3, and 5 are perfection! As always, it's great seeing a fellow Missourian around here.

Thanks kagato, much appreciated! I have a custom waiting for me at home I hope to have some pics of tomorrow. Nice to have a fellow Missourian here too (stay cool this summer ;))

Really great stuff, Tom. Curious, though, do you keep certain pairs together, or do you mix 'em up a bit?

Thanks L2D, I mix and match daily. My favorite brew requires a bottle opener, so if it is "that kind of day" I pick something to accompany the FB that has a stout caplifter. The older scouts are great for that.

I was out in the woods again today - me and the Kobun got a little rained on, no biggie:

Great pics of the Cold Steel

You're welcome. Looking forward to those pictures. Yeah, the heat index here is just north of 100°

Ohhhhh mama, me likey! Who made that beautiful fixed blade? Is the handle Gonçalo alves? I have a GP-100 grip in that wood and it looks pretty close.

Thanks! The maker is Davorin Sajnovic (a.k.a. g-knives, a Czech maker who occasionally posts here on BF). This is my 3rd knife from him (I guess that means I like his work ;) ). The steel is RWL-34 & the handles are Olive wood with white g10 liners & brass pins.

Davor is a really nice guy and well worth doing business with IMHO.

Thank you very much for the info. I am going to have to look him up. That blade is awesome and the handle looks very comfortable.

You consistently post photos of some of the most beautiful knives I have ever seen. You have one hell of a collection sir.

A custom today by forum knife maker Shaerk. A slightly shorter version of his Little Bush model, at 6 1/4 inches long with a 2 3/4 inch blade. Flat ground with a convex edge in s30v, and a horizontal leather belt sheath. Fits nicely in a KSF pocket sheath.

My first fixed blade and it's been on me everyday for 3 months. Love the minimalist

Whetstone39, do you like the CPM154 or S35V model of the City Knife better?

It's definitely too hot in Missouri right now. I tried painting a deck this morning. Major mistake.

Rainy, humid, and hot all this week. I'm getting very well acquainted with my Aqua Salt these days:

Speaking of H1, I spent a good chunk of this morning looking at what G Sakai is offering and came across some models that speak to me, but the one that caught my eye was the Sabi 7:

(I couldn't find a better picture that didn't have a watermark)

Ughhhhh, painting a deck in a Missouri summer would suck. A very long time ago I roofed houses in a St. Louis summer, never again :).

In the city knives s35v may have a slight advantage in edge retention in my experience, but that is purely subjective based on my daily use. Either steel in that model holds an edge long enough for me. It is the convex grind, I think, that gives it the "sliciness" that I really like.

Day 2 with my Shaerk little-mini-bush, we are getting along famously.
