Who gives themselves an annual budget for blades?

I try to have about 20 knives and rotate collection to make it better (in my opinion lol). Budget is ~500USD/month for upgrading :)

I start with a budget... and end with a repeatedly adjusted one.

Kind of like I do with firearms; not sure how many times I've told myself I have everything I would ever need for any conceivable eventuality.

I thought the last gun I would buy shipped out to me on January 2nd; it hasn't even reached my FFL yet and I got an e-mail the same day with an offer I simply couldn't pass up... so now I have a new rifle and pistol en route at the same time.

Same here lol. But i dont collect such expensive customs as you though. :P
My range is like 300-1000$ per knife. But its very rare finding a custom for 300$, and that is with damasteel, so he is charge about 205 for a fully custom. Never seen that before lol.

I just counted how many customs knives im going to recieve this year, turn out its going to be 17. Did not think it was that many. Oops :D

I was exaclty the same two years ago lol, wanted to buy a Spyderco Tenacious, but i could not understand why a knife would be 50$ LOL...

two knives for 15$, you are a sick sick person ! haha just kidding, thats awesome you can afford it. I can not afford that. Im lucky i can afford my knives though.

I have some post of them up on here. It got out of hand quick.
Collecting is so weird. I hear people
All the time argue with me about what I should be buying and spending with my money, lol. I just tell them I collect what I like. If Iike a Reate, I'm going to buy it. Its just that most of the knives I want are really expensive. It's just about the quality and design.

Wow, some of you are high rollers, here. I knew knife collecting was expensive, but this thread is eye-opening.
