With a whole slew of production and custom knives to select from, it is a humble Kershaw LH 1500L mini-task that usually gets picked for EDC. The reason is that the Wharncliffe has captured my harte. Now I need a fancier one. A Mayo would be nice, but I am on Tom's list for an LH Medium Recurve at the moment. It will probably be my only chance at one of his knives. - Lee
The wharncliffe is a very useful and versatile blade shape. Don't rule it out as a skinner. The wharncliffe has put up many pelts. Some muskrat patterns have the wharnie as the second blade.
Some blade "shapes" have different names it seems. My leek has a "modified" wharncliff, that to me looks like a spearpoint. I really love that bladeshape, whatever you want to call it. I hart wharncliff blades too. I don't know what I hart most, a dropoint or a wharncliff!
