Who has heard of Isaveclub.com?

My son found this site and is thinking about buying some accessories for his new Apple laptop. Because of the "membership" aspect, I told him to wait until I can find out a little bit more about it.

Has anyone here ordered anything from this company? Some of the prices seem to be too good to be true - for instance, a "free" 27-inch TV with a $19.99 membership?

Really?

Scam:

"This is what you're told after you join and login:
How to Get Your Free Items
To obtain your free Apple iPod Music Player, CLICK HERE (http://www.freeipods.com)
To obtain your free Samsung 17" LCD Monitor or Sony Wega 27" Flatscreen Trinitron Television, CLICK HERE (http://www.freeflatscreens.com)
All the members area is, is that, and some buying guides and tips for auctions, etc.
Awesome."

There's more stuff out there too if you google them. Save your money.

Also note that they don't accept CC's, which means you have to give them your bank info. Even if this isn't along the Nigeria scam, and they only withdraw what they are supposed to, it tends to be a lot harder(and there's less protection from fraud) to dispute a straight bank withdrawal than a CC charge.

Thanks a lot, etp!

(I figured as much - "if it sounds too good to be true....etc.etc.)

I'll pass the info on to my son.

H.
