Who has modified your RAT

Don't have any pics of it, but with my RC4 I've put a slight radius where the blade meets the choil so my finger isn't rubbing the sharp edge when I'm choked up on the blade. Other than that, I don't see the need to do any particular mods, most everything else is just how I like it
 
i got a custom KYDEX sheath made for my izula. does that count as mod? IMO the RC knives come pretty good out of the box. you dont really need to do anything to them. but if you want to that is you prerogative.

You should get that today hopefully. Although black is not real exciting, I think yours turned out very well.
 
I haven't heard of to many modified RATs other than the occasional Izula with wood handles or a stripped RAT with a patina. I think in time you'll see more of them with other handle materials like G-10, etc. It'd be neat to see something like an RC-3 with beautiful wood scales.
I'm also waiting for someone to have their Izula reground by Tom Krein into a super slicer.

im hoping it gets here!:thumbup::thumbup: the mail hasn't gotten here yet but im hoping. i chose the black so that it would match the knife and be low profile. :thumbup::D:thumbup::D

I did this same mod. The choils seemed to be designed for little people ;)
 
I do not believe they need any modifications. Maybe a cool new sheath, but I like the ones they come with enough.
 
Modded Rat?
You have to have some serious issues to change a RAT.
The MOST I've ever done is to hit the edge with a slack belt to make it slightly more convex and easier to strop but that in no way constitutes a modification.
 
there alsways somthing that can be done to one of my knives to suit me better I love the RAt knives but the handles need more grip to them and the choil mod sounds good to
 
Of all my RATs the only one I had modded was my RC-4. I had a full convex grind put on it by the Bark River crew. I love it but I foolishly had it reground before I had a chance to use it as it came. One day soon I'll pick up another RC-4 and keep it the way it is :)

This one was stripped, patina'ed and I added some texture to the handle scales.

Also made custom kydex for it.
