Who here EDC's Folders with blades 3.5" or larger

I used to EDC an 806D2, but then I found out blades over 3 1/2" are banned in Seattle, WA. I used that discovery as an excuse to buy a plain edge Griptilian ;) It's also a little smaller and much lighter. It's been a great EDC.

I do - no blade length problems in my locale that I'm aware of.

BM710HS (3.9") and BM910HS (3.7")

My 3.5" or more:

Microtech UT-6
Sebenza ( large regular )
Microtech LCC DA
DDR EDC
Microtech SOCOM MA
Chew Covert
Duncan Framelock
Microtech Amphibian
Sebenza (Inlay)
Microtech SOCOM DA

And my less than 3.5":

Jason Jacks Tactical

Kershaw Random Task
Mayo small TNT

UH, Gabe, that would be a DDR Aftermath. Duncan does the Aftershock.;)

The blade on the Camillus Cuda Maxx is 5.5" and the SOG Pentagon II has a 5" blade. I'm fond of large folders and own them both.

Each can be opened rapidly with one hand in their own unique way. The SOG can also be closed easily with one hand which is very convenient for a working knife.

My EDC was a CRKT M16-03 3.56", then a BM940, now I've been carrying a Spyderco Lum Tanto titanium folder quite a bit. It's heavy, but very slim for a large knife.

I used to carry an MOD CQD but I have switched to fixed blades :)

BM 806D2 (it's new! :D ). Also, Greco Whisper folder in pocket, or in beltpouch). When required, I carry (as a "gentlemans" folder) a No. 8 Opinel (It's not over 3.5" though).

I've carried a Gerber EZ-out and a CRKT M-16-03Z, both around 3.5". Today I had a Spyderco Rescue on me, right around 3.5". If I'm feeling squirrely I'll have a Buck 110 on my belt. Lately my pockets have been filled with slip joints but the Rescue said "Take me".

Current EDC's;

Scott Cook Lochsa
large wood inlay Sebenza
large plain Sebenza
BM 730CFHS

All measure in right around 3 1/2". Just the perfect blade length IMO.

I have two types of folder now.

-Bigger than 3.5" clipped knives that ride in my right pocket.

-Smaller than 3" knives that ride loose in my left pocket.

Makes the perfect combination IMO.

Today it's my Aluminum 710 with M2 blade clipped right and a Schatt & Morgan Series XIII Barlow loose in the left.

I stopped wasting my money on blades between 3" and 3.5", they're too big for some jobs and not big enough for others.

Lately I've been carrying a recently-acquired Benchmade AFCK plain edge linerlock (what's that, 3.78" or so?). It sometimes feels like a bit of overkill, since I'm used to years of carrying nothing larger than a Delica. I don't take it out for use when others might see it -- particularly not at work. Some things are best kept under your hat.
