Can anyone tell me why they would not make a CG version? They already have the design and all the setup in place from the LE version production, so it seems like it would make more sense to make a run of CG than to move on to something else, especially with the clearly high demand.

It doesn't make sense to me especially when they made a CG prototype at blade and threw out tickets for discounts on it plus they even threw out a ticked for a free knife

I didn't buy the LE model because I cant afford the high prices for the LE model, but I would have been in the market for 2 combat grades if they came out.

I hope if they ever come out with a CG its 5/16" thick.

It really was kinda cruel to show that picture then not plan to release the knife.

That is one of the coolest looking Busses i've seen so far.

Price is a factor but besides that, so is weight and functionality. Overkill sounds cool until you have to drag it around in your back pack for miles, and besides, you dont "need" it. Given the generous blade geometry any half ok steel would do, given that excellent steel is used there's plenty of steel and of excellent quality so as to make extra fat blades a moot point. Heck, ordinary machetes are way thinner and of worse steel, yet there's no problem with them. a wide .20 inch INFI blade can double as a prybar, no need for much more thickness and weight than that. All that said everyone likes different things, YMMV and all that stuff
