Who in here carries a knife......

Don't worry guys, Misko is a really cool Canadian Metalhead. I origionally brought him here about a year ago, and he was interested in the Emerson Police Utility Knife. And as you can see, he is just a knife rookie. So just cut him a little slack.

Oh I forgotten to mention, Yes I carry one, and yes I use it for everything but a prybar and a screwdriver.

Carry a knife? That's crazy talk. You could poke someone's eye out with one of those things.

People are giving you a particularly hard time about this question, because, relatively speaking, it is a particularly stupid question. If you scroll down to page 2 of the Blade Discussion Forum, there is a topic, "Your Carrying Knife" it is seven pages long. All of the people who responded did so because they carry a knife. They'll even tell you what kind (you'll probably see other 720's). Perhaps, among other company, "who carries a knife and why?" is a reasonable question. Here, it comes off like asking people at a Slayer show if they like music that has guitars in it.

why would anyone hanging out in a KNIFE forum possibly carry a knife?? jesus ya think you can ask maybe a dummer question?

Always carry a knife or two, never more than two though. Usually an auto and a manual. I carry because I always end up using them in some way, be it breaking boxes down at work or cleaning my nails. The point is I always use them, im never planning on whipping my knife out but it always happens. I DO NOT carry for self defense in any way, the years of martial arts training work alot better than a small sharp object.
 
Misko, i use my knife everyday from opening boxes and shipping straps to opening envelopes. I even use when my wife asks me to open a package in the kitchen. But no uses as a prybar or screwdriver

Open my mail, open boxes (I typically get 3-4/week), cut rope, strip wire (sometimes), clean under my finger nails, open packages (I never rip them with my teeth), as a "Fiddle" (aka a Hand Cooler, aka just something to fidget with)

I'm not OLD (37), but I was brought up that a man ALWAYS had some sort of blade on him, as a tool. When I pick up my wallet and keys in the AM, I also pick up my knife. They are all small pocket knifes

And yet I find so many uses for my knife EVERY DAY that I carry it BEFORE and AFTER school. I use my knife several times every day for everything from cutting open bales of hay to opening mail. I loan my knife to people regularly because they need to CUT something but are dumb ( like you) and don't carry a knife.
But there really aren't that many things that need cut are there?
Do you live room with padded walls?

BTW- i use mine evryday too,several times a day.i cant list everything i've cut (too long a list) but yes,im prety sure everyone here (or almost everyone) carries a knife.
