Who Is Coming On The 25th?

Wow John, you have been fast at work there haven't you? That shop is looking even better than it did the last time I was there! That trade table is looking pretty good too! Good Job Bud! See you Saturday!

The beans are in the crock pot, the beers are chilling, and the pickles are thawing! I have my map to get to John's, I'll pick up ice in the morning, and I'll be on my way! I think I have all my knives in one basket! Ha! Ha! Don't forget your survival kits! (Bandaids & Neosporin) See all of you in the morning!

Hope you guys have a good one tomorrow! Each of ya drink 3 or 4 for me to make up for my absence. Im not there to keep ya guys in pace with me in beer drinking so I guess if each of you have a 6 for me it should even out! Wish I could come but work and school have me tied down. I can't even go out for the opening day of Bowhunting here =[. Anyways make sure you take pictures and post em up for the people who couldnt come!

Hi guys -

I have the peppers stuffed and wrapped - late night since it was very busy at work today.

I picked up a growler of Granite City Octoberfest and another select 6 pack - I think we'll have enough barley pops to go around for sure. :)

I have all my JK's and a few others to bring up - including the Dobson customized Emerson CQC-7.

I'll have a couple for trade - I see a couple of hatchets I could use that are sitting on Stomper's table already.

I look forward to the trip and meeting up with all of you that can make it.
best regards -

...ing, and the pickles are thawing!

that's why i live in the desert. i don't have to shovel heat, my pickle never freezes and all the hurricanes are in the bars!

what are those orange and black things on the trade table, and the things above them? can't tell from the pic.

i doubt the alox SAKs, or that knife with the blonde scales will be left by now, but if so, let me know.

Hi Guys -

Stomper wanted me to post when I got home safely - so here it is!

I had a great time today - great company, lots of great knives, lots of trading, great food and a few quality brews were tossed.

I'll have pictures up asap!

Thanks to all for the gifts - I'll sort it all out and thank you properly when I get pictures up.

Here was the display table - knives that people brought up so we could all play and drool:

This was the "Tradin' table, although much of the stuff on here was brought by the folks to give away!

This was almost all of my haul - not including two books that Stomper gave to me!

frontiertom gave everyone a cool folding knife - that puppy is very stout - I have been playing with it since I got home. Thanks also for the beans and pickles and beer!

TheZenful1 gave everyone a medicine bottle filled with char-cloth and a baggie with some fatwood - cool - Thanks!

kyturkey gave everyone a nice little led flashlight - sweet! Thanks!

Stomper gave everyone a JK Firesteel and an emergency whistle (that is what those little orange and black things visible in the picture of the trade table were...)
The Boss had made some Sloppy Joe's and some delicious Stuffed Pepper soup - all of the food was awesome!

We even tried JackHammer's special pepper - wow, that is some hot stuff! I went back for more twice! Thanks! Mr.Sogetsu wanted to know when you were sending the HOT stuff lol

Either Mr.Sogetsu or kyturkey brought a bag of flint rocks - I have never had one before so I was happy to get a piece to mess with - I'll try to start some fires using the char cloth and the fatwood, using the flint rock and the firesteel - that will be fun!

There was a lot of trading going on - I traded Stomper a Buck 112+ for a Buck hatchet, and he gave me two books and a Busse Combat shot glass. Sweet!

I had a great time - I hope our discussion about a camping trip pans out - that would be epic!

This is the group picture that I took using the self-timer and frontiertom's truck - came out fairly good -

Thanks again to all, and special thanks to Stomper and the Boss who again outdid themselves making for a very enjoyable and memorable day.

best regards -

Awesome time at Stomper's, thanks to everyone, it was truly a great group of guys.

I can't take credit for the flints though, I believe those were kindly supplied by kyturkey.

Delicious food, a ton of fun toys to play with, washed down with a few cold ones and a bag of cool new stuff to take home. Pretty much a perfect Saturday.

I believe yesterday was a success, I know I had a lot of fun! It was great seeing you all again, and meeting a couple of new friends. Hopefully we will be doing it again in the spring. Good people, good food, and good beer, how does it get any better than that!

Here is my haul from yesterday, some were gifts, others were from trades.

Pretty much a perfect Saturday.

My sentiments exactly. Good food, good company, beautiful weather and a most gracious host. Thanks to everyone for the gifts and conversation. Thanks to John for opening up his house to us all. See you all next time.

Awesome photo set Andy.
