Who Is Coming On The 25th?

flints were from kyturkey. I believe he said they are from his yard.

What happened to the special powder, since I forgot to pick it up? I think my dad needs to try it out, if no one claimed it.

Everyone was quite gracious with gifts. I have an idea to return the favors in the spring.

I enjoyed myself just hanging out with everyone. Food and drinks were plentiful and great(didn't eat anything else the whole day).

Traded a used ldk, used trance, new steel warrior, and hoppes #9 for a fiskars hatchet, victorinox trekker, and the book The Final Frontiersman.

Thank you John for having us!

Sounds like you guys had a bunch of fun. Thanks for sharing with the rest of us

If by "special powder" you are referring to the granular habanero I sent, PM me with your address and I'll send some to you. But if that's NOT what you're talking about, maybe I don't need to know.

Didn't know it was habanero, would have been a little more sparingly. I'll leave you a visitor message with address.

Thanks, Jackhammer!

John-what was the thing you were working on that you mentioned? I forgot to ask you and I don't think you mentioned it(unless I missed it). I probably picked it up and never made the connection.

Thanks, Jackhammer!

I decided to put that one away untill it is finished. ;)

Where do you get this stuff?

I grew some habanero pepper plants this year and dried out a bunch and ground them down. I sprinkle it on soups, salads, omlets and mix it into salsa to rev it up a bit.

Thank you to John & Connie... and to everyone else. I enjoyed myself.

JackHammer, holy cow! I learned rather quickly from Mr.Sogetsu that a weeeeee lil bit of that goes a LONG way in my book. I feel for you Sogetsu, wow were you red!

frontiertom, those beans & the pickles were excellent!(my mouth waters thinking about them even now)

mqqn, I totally agree. I would love to see something come of the camping trip idea. That would be stellar to get a bunch together for a weekend gathering.

Thank you all for good times, company, food, drink & gear. I always wish these were longer in duration.

.Hi jeff.

I talked with my riding buddies and that is actually our destination in maine!

Best regards

mqqn

Good choice! If you have time, there is some superb hiking. Ride safe and have a great time!

Jeff

John, I just wanted to thank you again for another great time! The food and goodies were all great and the company was exceptional! Be sure to thank the "Boss" for letting us use the house and putting the food together for us, and also for the nice angels! Thanks for the Firesteel and the whistle. Thanks again for a really fine job on my Lobo, I really love it! I'm already looking forward to the next "Gathering"!

Thanks to TheZenful1 for the Fatwood & charcloth, kyturkey for the flashlight and flint! I hope I'm not forgetting anyone but, if I am, let me just say thanks to everyone that came and made the day a very special one for me! I hope to see everyone that was there for this one again, and some new people at the next one! The people that didn't come, just don't know what kind of good time they missed! Oh, and thanks to everyone that made me feel so good about bringing the beans and freezer pickles!

I'd would love to see a camping trip get together come to pass! Just let me know, and tell me what I can do to help in anyway!

Mr. Sogetsu, you probably need to stay away from those powders for awhile! I don't think I have seen that shade of red before, and water streaming from ones eyes like that! LOL! It's always best to try those types of things in very small quantities first! Ha! Ha!

jds1, thanks for adding that survival shop web site here, it is pretty cool! I've added it to my favorites!

mqqn, be careful on your trip, and hope you have a great time! It sounds like one of those trips to remember!

Guess that is about it! Take care all!

I knew I was forgetting something! mqqn, thank you for bringing me the coasters, crowns and six pack holders. I really appreciate it. Would you know if Granite City is still using these coasters? And what city did you tell me they were in? I might have to give them a call and see if I can get some more of these coasters. All of the Granite City's that I have been too, only use napkins. Thanks again!

Wanted to say thanks to John for having us. The food was great and enjoyed seeing all that steel. Jackhammer's pepper powder does add spice to your food (a little goes a long way). Thanks to all for the giveaway's and the tradin' was fun.
