Who Is Making Your FBM Sheath?

So far three FBM orders have come up already, with more on the near horizon, if Jerry dont hurry up I'm going to be up for a week straight making up time!

I hope that statement includes the FBM leather kydex Fusion sheath with alligator inlay I ordered from your Missus.

I am buying a nylon/kydex rig from Dan Hirayama because then I can fall off the boat without destroying my sheath. I'll have Busse ship it directly to him, then he'll ship it directly to me in Brazil. I did it like that last time and it worked out great.

I'm having one (edited to add: in leather) by Mike Bartol .... no need to have your knife shipped, he said he has contacted the Busse guys and has the measurements down pat, satisfaction guaranteed:).

Ciao,

Guido

Not only is his work top notch, but he also turns things around in days/weeks instead of months.
I love you too.

I'm turning out ten hand stitched sheaths a week and ramping up for more. Kenny is a great choice and I respect him as a true leather master. Now play nice. :) I wonder if I should get one of those monster sewing machines like his, that thing is awesome!! Probably costs more than my whole leather shop though.:o

Don't forget about Kenny Rowe guys. I don't think he even has a computer, but he is top notch.
Kenny has a computer and he's posted here before. :D I talked to him at a knife show a while back and he's a super nice fellow and his wife is a doll.

10 a week? You hand stitching freak of nature! One of these days when I am unemployed (read soon), I will have to see how fast I can turn some out for some of my stuff that need pants in a bad way. I spend a ton of time working and reworking a pattern, so maybe if I do the patterns now, I can get rolling. :)

Touchy, touchy. :D

It aint easy bro, but when you get those patterns set, then your good to go. Just resist the urge to keep rehashing them, I have to work on that weekly. When you finally get those callouses on those first two fingers from too much stitching it will be a good day, trust me ;) till then..... ouch!!! :o

It will be Okuden for a kydex sheath for the CG FBM and Dwayne for a leather sheath for the "LE".

I have never ordered from you...so didn't know that you also had multi-month turn arounds....I was referring to someone else :-)

I think this will be my route also. I like kydex but might try the nylon this time around. Just wont store the knife in the sheath except when using since it stays wet a lot longer than kydex.

Dan's stuff is kydex lined and the liners come out if you need them to, say for drying the nylon with a hair dryer or something.

Thanks Progunner, Have you handled his work? Top Notch? Think he quoted me around 62.50 for the sheath (ballpark) Thanks

-Best Wishes-

Same guy but just leather.

What does the kydex add to the mix? And if added would the sheath still accommodate a LE and a CG FBM (one at a time)?
An extra sense of safety if I come off of a horse and land on very rough ground.

Leatherman, I need a nice AK sheath and one for my FSH HH, the INFI is getting cold in N.E. need pants please.

Got your message highway74, will be in touch soon, I've not had the comp time I need lately. :o

for Tony G, I wouldnt try to make a sheath work for both knives, the thickness difference is just too great. One that would fit the FBMLE would be very loose for the CG version. But it would hold in the sheath somewhat with the snap strap.

Absolutely top notch. If I want a nylon and kydex rig, He is my go to guy. Consider also that the smaller stuff will fit in the generic stuff by Spec Ops and such, but these monster FBMs will not even come close, custom is the only way to go right now.

Going to order one up. He needs my blade though so maybe after a few others send their FBM's to him I won't need to;)

-Best Wishes-

My CG's sheath will be from Semper Paratus Tactical. My LE's will be a kydex fusion from Armoralleather.
