Who Is Making Your FBM Sheath?

I have a piece of concealex sitting here, just waiting.
Also have some black and OD kydex too.

I'm really leaning toward the concealex for the CG. I was joking about lining it with silk or fur, but I really would like to find a way to line kydex, so it still has the rentention , but, an interior that won't cause "skid marks".

Hear ya skunkwerx, Maybe some sort of very thin rubberized coating maybe like the spray can undercoating for cars and atv's ect. Spray it on one side and fold it over and make a taco with your blade after it cures. Don't know How well it would hold up though. it's tough enough for flying rocks though, might work.

Leatherman,

You do nice work, and it's improving. But to compare yourself to Kenny Rowe is a tad bit presumtious.

I Now play nice. :) I wonder if I should get one of those monster sewing machines like his, that thing is awesome!! Probably costs more than my whole leather shop though.:o

Now before you spear me, this is what you said. It sure sounds to me like you could be Kenny Rowe if only you had his equipment.

Leatherman,

Jeeze Louize Matteo, try to compliment Kenny and you get your panties in a wad!!! :grumpy: I've been wanting a machine like his for a very long time and simply stated that it was way too expensive for a poor crappy leather fumbler like me!

A tad presumptuous (correct spelling btw) of you to slam me for admiring the equipment of my hero in leather crafting. I put Kenny only after the god of leather Al Stolman (rip :( )

I have stated several times that I have the utmost respect for all the sheathmakers everywhere, especially Kenny. So, what beef do you have with me? If its some kind of vandetta, so be it.

EDIT to add, OK, I've read and re read that sentence and I cant see anywhere where I compared my work with his! What have you been drinking tonight? And can I have some? I think your reading too deeply into things, like that whole pink and orange blade thing a while back........ lighten up!

second edit: the more I think about the madder I get, HOW DARE YOU assume that I would think I was better than anyone else, in any form or fashion??? I am NOT bigoted even in the slightest, but I am seriously offended that you think I am. I am no better or no worse and anyone, I consider all people an equal. Thanks for crapping all over my weekend.

I recently made a scabbard for my new AK47. I will put my FBM in the same uniform.

Wrapping the blade is a folded and shaped piece of 1/16" Lexan (polycarbonate), sewed at the back by means of drilled holes. Wrapping the Lexan envelope is sewed-on nylon webbing. There are two pockets, which can hold, for example, a Wave multitool, a Bic lighter and a Diafold sharpener. There are numerous lashing points and belt-style attachement. Lashed on the front, in a series of Xs is about ten feet of 550 cord.

If I ever get a digital camera and learn how to post pics, I will show it.

No, it sounded to me like he was saying that if he had tha machine he could produce faster, not that he could do what Kenny rowe can.

As far as I am concerned, He can do exactly what I dreamed up in my head and explained to him and I don't think Kenny Rowe could have done better.

As for Kydex, I like Both Oku and Brown. Normark as well.

Leatherman is gonna make my sheath. I have seen the work and I like it, dont know what I want yet, but thats whose gonna make it......if thats ok:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I am buying a nylon/kydex rig from Dan Hirayama because then I can fall off the boat without destroying my sheath. I'll have Busse ship it directly to him, then he'll ship it directly to me in Brazil. I did it like that last time and it worked out great.

 Dan is a great guy to work with. I ordered a sheath last week for a Battle Rat I recently purchased. He quoted me 2 weeks, so hopefully it will be here before Christmas.

All I see is Dwayne saying that the sewing machine is nice and expensive.

Me also.

They are nice and REALLY expensive! Add huge also!

Matt, sometimes I think Chuck got it almost right, but I would have to add flaming to his discription.
