i have to say that i have way too much fishing gear. i enjoy a casual saturday fishing now and again but i am not the guy that has a 1000 stories to tell.

so does anybody here fish? i assume that there has to be some. :D

Love it! Been fishing most of my life, 32 now and discovered fly fishing several years ago, I try and go as often as possible! Similar to you I now have fly rods in just about every weight and way to much other gear.

yeah i know you get one rod reel combo and then another and so on. i generally fresh water fish but i have some salt water stuff too! in addition to the smaller salt water stuff i inherited enough deep sea equipment to make a person insane!

i understand the lyrod addiction considering ive fished ever continent except Africa ive got somewhere between 45-55 flyrods most sage t and t or loop single and double hand ill be bonefishing for 16 days in april on 3 different islands in the Bahamas

I love fly fishing. I tie my own flies. I use a Sage a 9,6,4 and a 2 rods with Lampson reels except for my four weight which has a J Ryall a #4 Julianne. I also have a hand made bamboo rod that was given to me as a present.

Some winter when you are dreaming about the snow melting off your favorite lake, pond or stream... think about building your own fly rod. Most companies blanks are available at very reasonable prices. I've made a few fly rods, and a couple of spinning rods and it's a whole lot of fun. Frankly, there's nothing like catching a nice trout on a fly you tied yourself that you cast on a rod you made yourself.

Now a days, my favorite kind of fishing involves a small brook, and my shortest fly rod. I usually carry a small collapsible spinning rod and worms along as well. Second favorite kind of fishing? Bass and pike fly fishing with poppers!!

When I go saltwater I use a "striper candy" For trout I use an ant.

One day I will make a rod.

Grew up in connecticut so have been salt water fishing on the sound for striped bass and blues as long as I can remember. I love being out on the water.

A few years ago we got a country place up in the catskills and I got pretty heavily into fly fishing. EAGERLY awaiting the april hatch to get here so I can get after our Catskill brookies :D

I'm blessed to be able to fish the beaverkill and esopus - amazing rivers and the birthplace of american flyfishing... :)

At the end of summer when the water is too warm and the trout need a break, I usually try to get back on the long island sound and to montauk.

Mmm could really go for some cedar plank trout right now or some bluefish with lemon and mayonnaise :D:D:D

i have never tried fly fishing. sounds interesting though.

I like fly fishing because it sort of puts the fish and I on a more even playing field. No 6 to 1 reel ratio's and super strong spider wire line!

If I'm serious about eating a big feed of fish though... give me some worms.:D

It's not just about the rods and reels. It's also about the kayaks. :D

I like to fish for the little buggers, pan-fish if you will. Bluegills, Crappie, & Rock Bass are my favorite species....egg/milk wash, special breading, and pan fry....yummy!

I love fishing. I go fishing all year round, except during deer hunting season.

Guyon - nice stripers!!!

I have been fishing for many years now, I did a lot of beach casting as well as boat and pier fishing as a kid but got way
more into fly fishing as I got older. A day spent stalking fish in rivers and streams in late summer is day well spent. :)

I haven't been fly fishing in a long time. Haven't even used the new rod I got for Christmas one year. Once I get my license I'll probably go a lot more.
