Who ordered this super UBE?

This K is bothering me. It is a Sanu, and it has to be a special order.... but if is not a special order maybe he is coming down with a case of SHER!!
I like this K strictly for the handle that needs work, I have a GRS for the large stuff (That I cant seem to find enough around here anymore). So, If I bought this k it would not be able to fill any gap in my large to small collection...
But it would be fun...hmmm...and I am always looking for a good workout...let me think on this one...hmmmm

It's not a special order so Gelbu tells me. Sanu made it because he wanted to make it. Therfore, it's perfect. And I think the scabbard has a little fur on it.

I think Sanu liked the one he made for me last year, which is about the same knife. I think the best ones are the ones the Kami makes because he just likes the style.

Almost forgot - sword fans will like this one. It's like a compact falchion or falcata. If there ever was a khukuri loaded for bear - it is this one. The large diameter of the handle will facilitate using two hands, which is the upside, the downside is it may make single handed use unsafe without taking the size down.

Must... refrain... from... any other... economic activity.
HIKV...Bad...fur on scabbard...UBE...woodchuck...(outch)

UBE...UBE...UBE...I don't have one of those...hmmmm.
Thinking...

Actually, I was kidding about the furry scabbard but just couldn't resist.

Thanks for advice based on experience, Finn.

Bill,
Doesn't look THAT big!Of course it might be too big for AC, his taste is well,Different! He likes gaudy stuff! Might be too much for Koz, he's been sick!Bet Sandi's Sis could handle it! :D

That is my theory also- a man does best what he most enjoys. From the many posts on the two styles, it seems that Sanu makes most of the YCS, and the UBE is his design. This blade has more belly, and unless my eyes deceive me, more drop than my UBE. Makes me wonder if he wasn't toying with a blend of the two. It is a very attractive blade. Very tempting. Very dangerous territory for an over-budget impulse. Oh, woe is me :)

Wal,
Go for it! IT'S CALLING YOU,yOU NEVER FOLLOW IMPULSES,JUST"THISONCE" do it!JUST TRYING TO BE ON YOUR SIDE BUDDY!!:D
jim:D

...SWMBO tells me I'm paid up on the "Khuk of the Month Club until next Marchuary....or was it Mortuary..

I like it, I would love to have it. My wife would kill me though. No more khuks until I get some other stuff paid off. I will have to pass. I would love to get my little hands and carving knives on that handle and make a "Custom Fit" grip.

Even though I already have a standard UBE - this one looks nice.

But, the wife suggested a use for it, and I've decided it would be best not to go for it right now.

I'll just sit here quitely and not move........

Wal, with all that handle to play with this is a woodchuck's dream. I'll even give you a payment plan.

Now this coming from a man who claims that anything over 16.5" is too big and ugly! Hah! I happen to love my 25" Kobra that Wal sent me. I also love my Bura Suripati (18") and I got one fancy Ashley, and (HEE) just today (HEEHEE) got a YCS delivered to me... it would have been a Plain version, but I think that Yvsa got to that one before me :D:D:D .

I have yet to open the box... but expect a photo soon (I'll try and do a better job with this one).

Sombody GO AHEAD AND TAKE IT!!!!
THIS ONE IS STARTING TO HURT!!!
Something deep deep down is saying..."Go ahead Dave, DO IT!! Jewel could use a Boy Friend, and what better than a masculine UBE?"

My Wallet says something else though.;)

Alan, if you do any better on your photos I'll be ashamed to ever post another pix. Be careful or you'll cripple the UBDOTDs.

Maybe you should get it, Dave.

After thinking along time about this one, I think I will let it pass. I feel that I should first get myself out of debt and then re-evaluate my situation. I have plenty of projects I need to finish up in the time being.

So let the Woodchuck Frenzy begin! :D

Dave,

You've got to take. We can't just let this one sit here?!? It's big and brawny and it looks like it absolutely loves to chop. Why it might even be knife enough to stand up to Cliff Stamp.

Go for it, Do it for Jewel, do it for us. That K needs a good home.

(excuse me while I slink away)

N2S,
You cant just put it in my lap like that!
I have Bills to pay (notice the capital B), places to go, and geroceries to buy! Why dont you get it? You could become one of he leading Woodchucks in the forum. Fame and fortune would be yours, maybe even Sandi's sis, you never know what could happen! ;)

Seriously, I dont need this. You are not going to...dayum it! ...HIKV....No...must control....aaarggghhh...
