I've been wondering who is the most prolific poster in these forums. Any guesses?

1000 posts from say... Bald1 maybe Prolific.

1000 post from RadarMan would be numerous rantings.

Do you seek the most numerous poster or prolific poster?

I think I might be the most prolific poster in terms of wordage -- not necessarily the most posts, but my posts are often long. I doubt there's any easy way to determine who posts the most wordage, though. If you click on the bio icon you can see how many posts that member has made, and I wouldn't be surprised if it would be easy for Spark to see who's made the most posts. How about it, Spark?

P.S. Maybe we could give a monthly "Blabbermouth Award." I wouldn't give a knife to the winner or call it anything more complimentary, for obvious reasons.

Well, what I had in mind was "prolific" in terms of number of posts.

I have 253 as of right now. I'll bet i'm not even in the top ten.

Just curious.

David I got 253 now too. I don't think we are in top ten either but I bet top 100 and that is out of ~1800 people

Radarman,

...and here I thought I'd throttled back a bit in recent weeks

! Actually this is post #595. But that covers a lot of months since I was here at opening day too.

Cougar,

Sure you don't mean verbose rather than prolific???

Ok, here's the scoop.

Based on total number of posts, only 7 people have more than 500.

Mike Turber (what a shocker, we all know he gabs waaaaaaay to much) has 1144.

I have 877, however, many of those are in response to Tech Support and Suggestions threads.

Next is Jim March, with 796.
Then there is a big drop off to Bald1, with 595 posts.
Then there's Cobalt, with 575.
Sal has 508 and James Mattis has 502.

Past that, your guess is as good as mine, but I'll bet that Somewhere in the top 20 is Walt Welch, Dexter, Endre, Allen Folts, and Bill Martino are up there, or will be soon.

So, does that mean that I'm in the BIG MOUTH, CAN'T SHUT UP, PASSING GAS, CATEGORY. No surprise with company like Jim and Bob.

Heck Bob I only got 257 now and I was here a day after you, my server was down oct 3. Now if I had as much time as you I would have over 500 post. That day make a lot of diff.

Hey David I did notice one thing the only ones over 500posts that are not Moderators are Bob and Cobalt.

But we are not even close to them.
Walt has 333
dexter has 361
Endre has 43
Alan has 79

Well I am adding them up now

I might as well do it noe cause I will be busy when it gets warmer. I am building an ultralight airplane and I haven't worked onit this winter. The place I work on it was to cold. The glue need to be ~70deg to cure right. I don't want it falling apart

Humm OK I guess I should stop posting! Also it seems Sal was bitten by the forum bug worse than I thought. I would have to say that based on time spent on the forums -vs- number of posts Sal wins!

The forums is a valuable tool which when used properly brings knowledge, business and most of all joy to us all.

Have fun guys and gals.

Mike,

You may indeed have a point... Sal really blitzed this place in short order!

Cobalt,

Geez Dennis, I found it hard to believe that only you and I made the 500 club as non-moderators. You think the Stellite and Talonite may have had something to do with it

I guess I could post less? Not trying to win a contest, just trying to do a good job as a moderator.

In defense of Sal.
I have never seen a post which mentioned Spyderco,
in any forum, which Sal did not answer in a few hours.
The man is on the job!!

Sal, Sal, Sal!

Please no! You've misunderstood the thread I fear. David was just curious about who had contributed the most posts. Mike Turber's comment about you was most complimentary in that you have embraced the forum and its members with a devotion reflected in the contributions you've made. Doc is right! You've wasted no time in responding to Spyderco related queries or comments. It has been outstanding.

The prolific issue that David raised was and is embued with a humorous undercurrent.
