Who really "uses" their Sebenzas

BUY all means, I second that on getting the small, it is almost an ideal size folder, when I first got it I carried it a week and when I pulled out the large one I thought wow that large one is very big, in comparison...

Update from previous thread I started on the same topic:

Still have not used my new large Sebenza. Just can't bear that first ding on the blade.

Perhaps counseling would help?

I'll put it this way: I don't have any kitchen knives, except, of course, for the table knives that come with silverware sets. I have my Sebenza clipped to an article of clothing even when I sleep. I use it for any and all cutting chores--->in the kitchen and everywhere else. It's like a third thumb.

grnamin, you even sleep with your Sebenza cliped to your clothes? Now that's what I would call a dedicated Sebenza owner! I don't think I'll go that far - my wife may be a little put off if I start bring a knife to bed........ although I often "play" with my newest knife while sitting in bed watching TV at night.

Hey Tom,
Let it not be said that I don't love my Sebenza.

. I'm a "preparedness freak", I guess. I think I even almost walk funny when my Sebenza isn't clipped to my clothing to balance my gait.

i've had my large sebenza for almost four years and have yet to use it for any serious cutting.
my BM Brend Combat Talon or Spyderco Goddard get most of the work.
i keep telling myself to get over it but it's tough when the thing represents half a weeks pay.
i'm gonna keep trying to get over the "carry it but don't use it" hump though and am thinking right now i need a small sebenza after reading all the previous replies...

Glad I am not the only one.

I use mine, just not as hard as the Reeves intended it for. Can't bear the thought of beating up this knife, but I like the fact that it can take it, if I do.

The real question is who doesn't use their Sebenzas? I love 'em. Couldn't ask for a better general purpose/utility knife.

Besides the Damascus and Gold Coin Sebenzas, I wonder if Decorated Sebenzas will increase in value someday. After all, the designs are unique. Does anyone know?
