Who said Colonial didn't make a nice knife?

Nice knives guys.

Lest we forget, Colonial actually made these beauties for then
Russell Harrington (now Dexter-Russell)...

Here are four Imperials that I have. Notice the glass cutter on the bottom knife:

The black handles are coatings on metal. I'm not sure about the pearl handle.

I also have a Field & Stream set, like Codger showed, but it has no box.

Thanks Pete, I thought it might be. While the others are one-piece hollow handles with fake pins, the pearl has separate celluloid scales, separate sheet metal bolsters and real pins.

the pearl is celluloid

pete:)

Cracked Ice Celluloid I believe..

Here is an old Imperial Electricians Knife that I find interesting that is tang stamped: Imperial * PROV. * RI. * USA additionally it has MAC
(for Mac Tools no doubt) lightly acid etched on the main bladed as well. Its got half stops on both blades and the Flathead screwdriver blade has a liner-lock that locks up tight as a drum.

Hey Sunnyd
The Colonial/Russell Barlow sets were released in 1998. 1000 stags sets and I believe 5000 in bone. I have #999 in the stag and believe me that Grandaddy Barlow is good and heavy with thick brass scales. Every stag set I've seen seems to have superb matching scales.

Heres an old Imperial I found several years ago, a 2 blade jack with some sort of plastic handle material, looks almost like linoleum.
This one is fairly large, near 4" and solidly built, not like the later shell handle knives.

Here is one you don't see every day that I picked up on eBay back 3-4 years ago for $8. including shipping costs right to my door:) . I was the only bidder on this one probably because the only picture the seller put on the auction page was so small and fuzzy that it was impossible to make out any detail. Imagine my pleasant surprise to see a near mint in the box letter opener-slipjoint knife with half stops to boot..:D

I sold a similar piece, it was an advertiser for Trenton Savings and Loan, it said they had assets in excess of "TWO MILLION DOLLARS"

Now that had to be pretty old if all they had was $2,000.000 in assets.;)

Here's one I won on Ebay for $4:
