So i was thinking of some cool people that are or have been spokesman for knife companies or just carry their blades :

Sog - Gunny
Microtech - Marifonte
Cold Steel - Demko
Mora - Cody Lundin
Buck - was really always Chuck Buck
Kabar- Gunny again
Emerson - Keanu Reeves

Who else reps for knife companies?

Emerson - Keanu Reeves

Where did you see this?

I'm guessing from the screencaps of Keanu fighting the good guy at the end of Man of Tai Chi using an Emerson Horseman (iirc).

I carry a Vic Classic.

Does that make me a Victorinox Rep?

I'm not quite getting the core concept here. And who is "Gunny"? And does designing a knife for a company make you a "rep"?

Well, that could make him a rep...do you have any actual evidence that he is? I mean, eating a BigMac or wearing Nikes doesn't mean he reps for them. Does he appear in any of the companies advertising or promotional materials?

That last sentence is causing my confusion. "carry" does not equal "rep/spokeperson"

I just meant repping like representing. In either an official or unofficial way, carrying said knife, ect....

Oh. him. Honorary Gunnery Sgt. Ermey. I see he certainly IS a rep for SOG, as well as Tupperware, Hoover, WD-40, Coors Light, Dick's Sporting Goods, GEICO, and pistachio nuts. Didn't see anything about Kabar.

I wouldn't call him 'Honorary' as he actually was a Gunnery Sargeant. As I understand he was a USMC Drill Instructor. Whether he retired at a higher rank, I haven't heard, but he was definitely a Gunny, earned the rank, not honorary.

"Ermey spent eleven years in the Marine Corps, Two of which were spent as being a Drill Instructor at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, India Company 3rd Recruit Training Battalion 1965-67, Arrived in Vietnam in 1968 spending 14 months attached to Marine Wing Support Group 17 and 2 tours in Okinawa. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant and was medically retired for injuries received.
On May 17, 2002 he received an honorary promotion to Gunnery Sergeant (E-7) by Commandant James L. Jones, becoming the first retiree in the history of the Marines to be promoted. "
