Who still carries a Case Knife?

Had this one since 1985. Purchased at an Ace hardware store in Vidalia Ga. As salesman was pulling it out, a fixed blade slid off tray and went through his foot. Obligated then to buy the slimline. Went by a week later to check on him and found out he was being watched over that day as the major blood vessel in his foot was pushed out of the way of the point in the fixed blade. Could have been a lot worse.

I have a couple of those in yellow delrin, but no such tale of blood and woe associated with either.

I'd like to see pics of that sowbelly.... my favorite pattern, in my favorite bone, and my favorite steel..... dang....
Since you asked nicely :)
This one had the hump on the spey and sheepfoot softened by the previous owner. And to illustrate my point about the reactivity, I pulled this out of the save and the spey blade already had some rust forming on the tip. Really need to oil these more often I guess.

Very nice.... I do the same mods to my Case sowbellies... it makes them SO much more ergonomic....

I can't picture what you mean, are you filing the kick so the blades sit lower?
I only file the kick if the tip of the sheepfoot is close to proud of the blade well. Mostly I take the "hump" off the top of the spey blade, and make the sheepfoot a more reasonable curve downward, which eliminates the way they protrude when closed.... I had some before/after pics, let me see if I can find them...
