Who still carries a Case Knife?

First half of this week I was totin a bright blue 44 Stockman. The next few days it'll be this two blade Jack. A '65-'69 "pretty bone" 44.
There's something special about a 3 1/4" pocket knife from that era. Something akin to a sweet 16 field grade shotgun, that feels Oh-So-Right, whenever it's carried.

Gotta roll early tomorrow morning, not sure if I'll even get on-line first, but I know what I'm carrying. 1978 Case 63047 Stockman (real dark jigged bone). OH

The 047 was a nice frame. The only 4" stockman Case made. Wish it was still in production.

Sorry forgot about the 92. That has square bolsters so it's not a real stockman ;)

Please do! I got this one out just to look at and the action was a little sticky. I decided to carry it today and give it a good flitz, cleaning, and oiling. Now it’s back to snapping and shining! I’m glad I did because it’s really a nice carry not taking up any pocket space at all. The blade is only a little bit shorter than a mini trapper. I may have to carry it more often.

Be careful out there, I’m sure you’re having fun! 😎👍

Perfect for the pocket. Because of their small size they feel great in hand in a jack configuration. CV versions getting hard to find, nice chestnut bone too. Case should make another run.

Popular indeed! I had two of these, one for carry and one put away still NIB. I saw a Case 130th anniversary muskrat in golden antique bone at the local knife shop and arranged to trade my second one for it. Well, the swayback jack was still sitting on the counter a few minutes later when someone walked up and bought it. (And I have three of the swayback gents, also.)
