Who still carries a Case Knife?

My current favorite Case pattern is the 62032’ Texas Jack. Partly because I’m a Texan, but mostly because it’s like a two-blade version of the medium stockman without the annoying sheepsfoot blade sticking out. View attachment 3034274
Nice gathering... I'm a 3-blade guy, and I'm not sure I could live without a Sheepsfoot or Coping blade. However, there has always been something about a 2-blade Jack that has drawn my attention. And in particular, the one shown far left. If you don't mind I'll stop drooling on my keyboard now (and I'm originally from Maine, not Texas).

Thank you. My bookshelf has an odd ball assortment of stuff on it. I have a few small fossils that I picked up out of a creek, rocks, etc.👍
Looks like an impressive collection of Bible commentaries on your shelf, too!:cool::thumbsup:

In answer to this thread's title, I still carry at least one Case knife, although I don't think I got my first Case knife until 2014, when I was already 62 years old. I usually carry a different Case knife each week (until I get through them all and have to start over). This week I'm carrying a 63032 medium stockman, from 2017, with chestnut jigged bone handles and CV blades.

Sometimes jigged bone just doesn't "speak" to me, but yours is "hollerin' out loud". My Amber bone 63032CV has been riding in my pocket again lately, and is there right now (and I'm still in my jammies, heh-heh). They really are a nice knife.

So, I've searched the 62032 until I'm blue in the face, with no results. Please enlighten me regarding the rounded bolsters on the knife on the far left.

I'm pretty boring, and my daily carry is almost always a Buck 112 & an Alox Pioneer, because that's what works best for me. Since this one came two weeks ago, I added it to my rfp to see how it holds up, and to see how Case's S35VN compares. I've been using it instead of the 112 for all the cutting chores. That is, when I remember it's in my pocket.:) When something needs cut, I'm used to reaching back & getting the 112 off my belt, instead of digging a knife out of my pocket, and I forget sometimes.

This thing's good-to-go. It's not as pretty as a nice old saw cut bone Barlow, but I love the blade steel, and the light weight. This won't take the place of the 112 & SAK for my daily carry, but when I want something lighter, or don't want the 112 on my belt; this is going in my pocket.

Bald Cypress cones?

Good question. I’m not really sure. I hate to say it but I’m not real good at tree identification. I’m thinking maybe white pine. It’s from one of the big evergreens at church.
About the only photo I have is a snowy one from a few years back.At least that’s where I think I picked these ones up from.😂IMG_1936.jpeg

Thank you. I’m starting to slowly move some of them from my church office to my home office. We just became empty nesters so one of the spare rooms has become my home office. With leg issues I do most of my study from home now a days.

Yesterday’s Case just to keep it knife related.

I'm a huge fan of Case's chestnut jigged bone with CV steel series, and have tried to get as many different patterns in that series as I can find. That's the reason I bought the 63032 I posted. I don't care much for square bolsters or a pen blade instead of a spey on a stockman, but I couldn't pass up the chestnut jigged bone.

I hope having an office at home can give your legs more rest and maybe resolve some of the leg issues you mentioned.
I finally had to give up an office I'd had for almost 40 years, and brought quite a few books home, although I gave away a lot of my books, too. My wife had the house to herself for all that time, and, like nature, she abhorred a vacuum, so the house has filled up with her stuff and I'm still trying to figure out where I can put my books.🤓

Actually, I was just inquiring if you had any Bald Cypress cones on your shelf. They are odd little ball-shaped things. I'll post a photo when I find it in my file. Oh, and keep that predicted snow away.

Thanks. :)

Ha! And for me, I'll take a Pen over a Spey any day. It is just more functional for me than the Spey. That was one of the reasons I went with the 63032.
