Who still carries a Case Knife?

I still carry a Case knife occasionally, and I even buy a new one now and then. Here are a couple I picked up just before Christmas.

That 6347 is a great looking knife... I really like that 3 spring pattern, but mine don't have the lined bolsters... that really dresses that one up...

I'm not a huge trapper fan, even though I have a few of them..... THAT one could convert me.... the as ground blades and gorgeous bone handles... outstanding!
I am with you, the mini trapper is more my preferred size to carry. I do love the Razor Edge finish that Case used in the mid seventies - wish they had stuck with it for a longer time period.:)

One of my favorites.

I don't quite like the flatter sides as much as the more rounded surface of my BSA red bone 08, but definitely prefer the CV blades and slightly better W&T.

Maybe it's just some kind of inconsistency?
This One is very flat, the pocket worn grey bone is rounded a little , and the red bone is much more rounded and really about perfect.

How do you like your Mako?
I like it alot more than I thought I would. It was a birthday gift from my wife a couple years ago, and never really took to carrying it. I'm not much of a folding belt knife guy, but I've been carrying a leatherman daily since changing careers. Unlike the supertool, I hardly even realize its there. It came with a very attractive sheath as well. Will add another pic after work

Really nice Gary, you can Christmas shop for me anytime you want. 😊👍
Thanks, Todd; I don't think of myself as a fan of fancy bolsters, but I sure do like the looks of Case's quad-lined bolsters. :)
I'm kind of a late Christmas shopper; send me your list after December 1. 🤓

That’s an extra nice stockman.👍👍

The best of the new Case and the best of the old Case - together in the same thread! OH
Thanks for the kind words about the stockman, gents. :)
The '47 is my favorite size stockman from Case. (I'd probably prefer the '18, but the sheepsfoot is set up SO high on that frame.)
And I've been a big fan of the Rogers walnut jigged bone with the quad-lined bolsters since that series came out several years ago. When I ran across an online vendor who still had some in stock, I couldn't pass it up!

That's a centerfold canoe!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Since it arrived, my Case Tear Drop in Richlite has been splitting pocket time with my Boker Barlow.

Another pic of the Mako with its sheath, and its big brother the XX changer. Many more miles on big brother. Its due for a polish this evening I supposeView attachment 1733114
Overall I tend to find the Buck pattern frame to be better looking, but I really do love the look of Case's blade.

Overall I feel they did a good job of making a knife that doesn't look like a Buck 110 wannabe.

I agree they are very similar. Last week my father in law gave me a 112 with a broken blade tip. The mako and the 112 were nearly identical in overall length closed, but the Mako offers more blade, (even before someone carelessly breaks the blade) was much thinner overall and much lighter weight. Also the buck 112 sheath is unnecessarily large in my opinion, much like the XX changers. I repaired the blade, polished the handle and gave it back. If I could find a 112 slim with traditional features, I'd buy it right now for sure
