Who was looking for a Shiva Rex?

I thought that was explicitly not against the rules for gold members. Hell, it’s not against the rules for gold members or above to post items for sale in their sigs, and those are on every post.

Might need to check the bylaws on that.
Sales sigs are legit for Golds & up last I checked. That is to counter the hard line between sales & discussion forums topics & make the site more commerce friendly, worth paying for the membership level.
  1. "If any rules seem contradictory, the more stringent rules apply. Whenever there is doubt, ask the moderation staff."
  2. "Selling on this site is restricted to the appropriate designated forums. Don't list sales threads outside the Exchange, especially without the appropriate membership..."
Basically, the only person who should be selling or talking of selling goods in a maker's discussion forum is the maker unless the maker says otherwise. Also, and this is what caught my eye, is more often than not, when one posts, another or more will chime in with sales chatter.

ETA: I'm a collector too, so I do try to be lenient as we all have our grail hunts, so to speak. But, please be mindful that this is Jerry's forum. Cool?

Great pics!

Feel free to enroll your handgun in our "Iron For INFI" program! Acceptance is guaranteed for a great little powerhouse like that!!! No need to claim that it was on crew or any other false credentials. Its athletic prowess is very evident!

I'll be standing out at the mailbox waiting for its arrival.

Now don't take too long to do this. . . . 'cause, "baby it's cold outside!" . . . (13 degrees right now. . . .) At least I don't have to worry about the ice melting in my scotch glass any time too soon!

Let's drink!

Jerry

Jaxx, thank you for taking the time here, and both again and as well for being gentle. This forum, at least at this time, seems to do just fine with a soft touch. That said, 1. above chafes my libertarian nature as going against the spirit of the Rule of Lenity :(. I will, nonetheless, abide in good spirit!

The Bossman, Hisself. . . . :p

The almost 54 year old fan boi in me is so very delighted!

(Though I fully realize that it may be the violation of Rules that drew his all seeing gaze, he has the grace to say further naught on that subject; but rather to pay this humble admirer and user of his fine INFI blades a compliment and to play along. A good and gracious fellow, and I thank you, Sir!)

Now, to date I was unfamiliar with the aforementioned "Iron for INFI" program o_O:rolleyes:. Sounds like a Grab Bag with some Iron skin in the game! I like it! Unfortunately that little baby is broken in sweetly and shoots like a laser beam with a quick reset, intuitive presentation and sighting, and goes Boom every time no matter what one feeds her. NEVER thought I would feel I could rely on and actually like a pocket piece. Well, turns out I can! Thanks, again, Jerry. Hmmm, if this program allowed one to negotiate the INFI . . . . o_O:D. Funny, this, though. I sent a very nice M1A SOCOM of mine to a feller not far from Wauseon, one Rick Barrett, back when he was still making some of the finest American traditionally made Japanese style swords around in partial exchange for a custom oroshigane wakizashi to complete my daisho (it is a stunner - and a wicked fast cutter of a blade) (huh, in fact, that is the top of the tsuka, the bottom of the tsuba, and the start of the saya for that sword in my avatar pic or whatever one calls it). That Iron for Steel program worked out just great once, so . . . .

I love the way this forum has been! Just a tiny nudge now & again only when needed...steady, steeeeady... :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Unfortunately, Rule #1 came about due to experience with members abusing the slack on rules in the past. Spark's a good dude, he wouldn't have implemented if he could have avoided it. :)

I get it. Just a professional joke. Mostly. :)

Well, here is my other unpardonable sin (first being the stripping of a 3B2, no doubt). BUT I buy with the intent to keep and use. I have carried this appendix in the AZWELKE seen below with a loop, but have ended up being most fond of her as a low necker.

So I know few will see this late addition to my largely dead thread, but this is important to me. Correct attribution.

I got to thinking and took a look at the maker's mark on that little beauty of a sheath. Hmmm. Two blobs, if you will. But they did not look like Al's brand, and were in the configuration of David's/BuyBrown's "BB" branding. Plus, and this was the kicker, there is the "talon's hole, hole," if you will. Looked into history a bit here and that was David's old brand, which became kinda indistinct after well over a decade of using the same iron. Now, of course, it is a nice, neatly stampedIMG_0293.jpg "BB."

Honest mistake, but important to me to get it right.

The only infi I'd be willing to trade any shooting irons for are:

A NMFBM, a Gladius, or a ASH1

There might be one or two others I can't think of, but those are the big 3 for me

Muddy Snake SFNO, a CS SFNO FFG Micarta/Micarta G-Rex, a SOW, good, uncommon ASH, Mud Razor, ARK, Ripper . . .

. . . maybe one or two :) (kinda depends on the iron as well!).
