Who will report for us?

I will think of one and all who could not make the trip to Blade. Seeing as how I'm a mere 250 miles from Atlanta, I'll be a burnin' the gas, (or ethanol, what a crappy fuel). BLADE! a cutlery whores' Mustang Ranch!

Can you feel the envy coming through from my computer to yours?

Are you taking a laptop? An iPad? At least an iPhone... some way of keeping us up to date on all that you see at "Mustang Ranch."

Take lots of pictures to share with those of us who are thousands of miles away from the playground there.

maybe someone can carry a camera into blade and give us a birds eye view. awe, that'd be no good, I'd have to give the cameraman my credit card and have a two-way... "buy this, that" "tweener, tweener, folder, machax, magnum camp" "credit limit!"

I think it's one of those things where you just have to be there.

Take heart, though: everything should be available shortly after Blade.
 
alright. where are the pics of the tweeners!? should i hold my beckers hostage and threaten not to use them until i see pics? i'd rather not go to such drastic measures but...don't temp me!

We haven't heard anything yet from our intrepid reporters. I'm sitting here glued to my computer awaiting developments myself.

I realize these things take some time, but if we don't get some word soon, I won't have any fingernails left at all — they'll be bitten to the quick.

Perhaps my memory's faulty, but it seems to me that there were at least written reports and pics — even on Fridays — in previous years. So far, not a peep from the peeps at the show this year.

While I'm dying to see pics of all the wondrous things at the KA-BAR/Becker booth, I'd certainly settle for a written description at this point: it'd be better than nothing.

We are overdue for the Magnum Camp, which was due in May, but I believe that Bladite said it would now be early to middle June.
 
people who went to the show are posting here...asking us what to buy. those that posted pictures, they only took pictures of the knife makers and the knives themselves as an afterthought :( blade show isn't all that big at least compared to the shot show. at the end of the day there were already youtube vids from shot show. i think i'll surf the gun forums for updates. in the meantime, i'm also checking lunde's website to see if he went to blade: http://lundestudio.com/knives.html. his shot show pics are always magazine quality.

if no update from ka-bar by sunday night i'll be tempted to spend my tweener money on a spyderco military instead :o

Don't be too hasty, JV3. Snowalker posted on the first page of this thread that he was going, and would be taking pictures, but wouldn't be posting them until Monday: surely you can wait till then, can't you?

Others have said that they were going, too, and would report. Not only that, but Ethan has a new laptop, too, and may report in (hey, it could happen... but there are a lot of distractions at Blade:D).

Remember that it's early in the day yet. Reports could come flooding in at any time.;)
