I want to go on a HOG Hunt, and a deer hunt.

I would like to take a family hunt for hogs and would love suggestions especially on East coast. Something within 8hrs of DC.

WOuld like to do this with others if interested...A Busse group hog hunt would be cool:thumbup:

Also, I will be going back to Illinois to deer hunt. I killied a 185" 13pt monster in 2009. Would others being interested in doing the same?

ive bagged some deer and some javelinas out here in Texas, those javelina are a pretty fun little hunt...i dont think i could head to the east coast for hunt but i know there are some big pigs in Texas:D:D

THats a fact. Id love to come to Texas sometime . THere's enough folks from Texas here to do a heck of a hunt, and put a sure enough dent on the population:D:thumbup:

YES, I'm in.

Bow, rifle, black powder, you name it. I'm in. As long as my schedule allows it. I'm in VA as well, so we need to hook up sometime this upcoming season. I don't have land, but I have toys!

I'll be probably be down in Texas mid Feb, and in Arkansas October. I've had good luck in Arkansas, but never anything over 150".

Let me know about your Illinois plans and I may look at taking some time off. Making the P&Y book with a bow is on my bucket list...

Not to change the subject but we've smacked some great waterfowl in that next town southwest of El Campo. The "Ribeye In The Sky" wasn't bad either (Cranes to the uninitiated).

Cuttn' em all jack!

I would recommend Ken Moody's Clarkrange Hunting Lodge in TN. Here is the web site: http://www.kenmoody.com/clarkrange.htm
It is about a 10 hour drive from the Tidewater area in Virginia. It has been a couple of years since I have hunted there. I went with two other hunters utilizing .44Mag and .45LC handguns. Everyone got their hog. You can run behing the dogs (which two of us did) or still hunt from a blind.

T, I got some friends who went hunting here in Missouri for hogs with bows and ended up using knives. There a wild bunch and I'm sure the Whiskey helped some too. The guy that owned the place had a camera crew comming in to do a photo op deal on his ranch. But he closed the place down when they went to use the knives, because he did'nt want them taking pics of these guys running around with knives hunting hogs. They got 4 or 5 nice hogs though with knives. I think the biggest one was over 300 pounds and looked just like a russian boar. My one buddy said he had to drop his bow and jump/pull his self up in a tree to avoid being run over by a big boar. But Ill. is just across the bridge from me. What part of Ill. did you take your buck in. There are some real Trophy class deer in Ill. for sure. Although I've never hunted in that state.

THis is were I have gone for the past two years. THis will be my third year in a row:eek: I can't believe it.:) THe first year I missed a B&C 8pter that had at least a 24" spread, and here's the one I took last year.

Here's where I am going. Its in "THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE" in Adams County Illinois:cool:

Here is a link with dates, and prices etc. http://springvalleyoutfitters.com/contactus.html

I am looking at the first bow hunt 10/1. ITs the first chance to get at em and they are still patternable.

THis will alllow me to return for the last muzzeloader hunt on Dec 10-12. I think this will give me the best opportunity, and potential of harvesting two trophy bucks. THe bow hunt is open . THe last muzzleloader hunt has less availablity.

THe accomodations are sufficient but modest. Steve is a heck of a guy and the hunting is incredible!

Since you mention it, we need some INFI broadheads. Like some old double bladed zwickee's with the bleeder blade.

Right in the boiler room!

I'm in Commander.

Admiral sir, thats great news:thumbup:

I am going on a hog hunt this weekend here in MO. It is at at place called High Adventure ranch. http://www.highadventureranch.com/boar.html

Dad and I as well as my Uncle will check it out this weekend and I will report back later.

Me and dad are always interested in additional hunts and would love to be part of a Busse hunt. Lets keep this going and get together and wack some pork!! The closer to M the better but we are willing to travel to TX, OK, Ect for the chance to slay some more bacon.

Hey Trevor - I might be in, depending on timing. I have a couple work commitments in October, but before and after look good.
